Add Unlisted Radiology Tests through IMO® Core Procedure
If you are unable to find the necessary tests for placing radiology orders, you can manually search and add those unlisted tests through IMO® Core Procedure.

If you are unable to find the necessary radiology tests for ordering them, you can manually search and add those unlisted tests. Open the Home or any other applicable template, select Orders from the upper navigation bar, and then select Single Order or Radiology Order. In the Radiology Order template or the Radiology panel of the Single Order template, select Unlisted Procedure. The Unlisted CPT Selection window opens. Enter any of the following in the corresponding fields: Description Procedure Category Select Search. The tests in the grid are filtered based on the search criteria. Select the test from the grid, and then select OK. Note: If the test is not configured for the current performing entity in File Maintenance, a message appears about the same, and the test is not added to the Radiology Order or Single Order template. Select the applicable side of the body. If the test is configured for Appropriate Use Criteria (AUC) and has a diagnosis code, the AUC Score Wizard window opeAdd Unlisted Radiology Tests

If you changed a diagnosis code for a radiology test configured for Appropriate Use Criteria (AUC) in File Maintenance, you can review the AUC scores manually to ensure you have the appropriate AUC information. Open the Home or any other applicable template, select Orders from the upper navigation bar, and then select Single Order or Radiology Order. In the Radiology Order template or the Radiology panel of the Single Order template, select the appropriate test from the This Order grid. Select Run AUC. The AUC Score Wizard window opens displaying the AUC score for the selected test. Review the AUC score of the test. Optional: Select a different test from the grid. Note: NextGen Healthcare recommends that you select a test with the same category as the test you selected on the Single Order or Radiology Order template. Select Accept. If you select a different test, the original test in the Single Order or Radiology Order template is replaced with the test you selected, and the AUC valuesReview AUC Scores for Radiology Tests

You can remove radiology tests or change the diagnosis or indication for a radiology test before placing the order. Open the Home or any other applicable template, select Orders from the upper navigation bar, and then select Single Order or Radiology Order. In the Radiology Order template or the Radiology panel of the Single Order template, select the test to update from the This Order grid. The diagnoses associated with the selected test appear in the Diagnosis grid, and the indication associated with the selected test appears in the Indication field. Do one of the following: To change the diagnoses associated with the selected test, select Dx & Px. Note: If you change the diagnosis code for a test configured for Appropriate Use Criteria (AUC) in File Maintenance, you must review the AUC scores manually. To change the indication associated with the selected test, select a different indication from Indication. Select Update. Optional: To remove a test from the This Order grid, select tUpdate or Remove Radiology Tests

You can configure your preferences for ordering different types of radiology tests. You can configure the following preferences for placing orders in the Single Order and Radiology Order templates: Configure radiology general settings for all locations and providers by using the General panel of the Radiology Configuration template. Configure standard radiology tests and bilateral billing requirements by using the corresponding panels of the Radiology Configuration template. Configure view types of each radiology test, radiology categories, and body parts by using the Radiology Picklists panel of the Radiology Configuration template. Note: When configuring radiology categories, you can make the diagnosis-code selection mandatory for placing internal orders, depending on the category of the radiology test. You can document the details of radiology, therapy, lab, durable medical equipment (DME), and referral orders required for a patient and place all orders at once. Open the Home or any other applicable template, select Orders from the upper navigation bar, and then select Single Order. Select Dx & Px to add the necessary diagnoses and procedures. Selecting procedures is optional; however, you must add at least one diagnosis to order external radiology tests, therapies, durable medical equipment (DME), lab tests, and referrals. Note: You can use the Radiology Picklists panel in the Radiology Configuration template to make diagnosis-code selection mandatory for placing internal radiology test orders, depending on the category. You can order radiology tests performed and billed in your practice or on at an external facility. On the Home or any other applicable template, select Orders from the upper navigation bar, and then select Radiology Order. The Radiology Order template opens. Select one of the following options for Performed: Internal Today for radiology tests performed and billed in your practice on the same day. Internal Later for radiology tests performed and billed in your practice on a future encounter. External for radiology tests performed and billed at an external facility. Do one of the following: To place radiology orders with diagnoses, select Dx & Px, and then add the necessary diagnoses. Note: You must add at least one diagnosis to order external radiology tests.
