Add Surgery Coding Biller
You can add the person who does the billing for the procedures performed by the provider.
On the Surgery Coding template, click the Biller field, and select the biller from the list.

You can verify the information added while scheduling the surgery and add the necessary tasks for the billing staff or providers. The Scheduling / Boarding Information panel enables the biller to set the tasks for the provider. It also enables the provider to set the tasks for the biller. You can enter the details in the Notes field and click the Task Billing or Task Provider icon to create a task for the provider or billing staff. The final step for the surgery scheduling workflow is the Surgery Coding template. Here, billers can code and bill for the procedures performed. We recommended that you open a new encounter, drag the Surgery Sched template to the new encounter, then code and bill for the procedures on the Surgery Coding template. The Schedule/Boarding Information and Diagnosis/Procedure Information panels display all diagnoses and procedures entered from the Surgery Sched template. You can also add additional diagnoses or update the procedure if the performed procedure is different than the boarded procedure. To add a procedure, do one of the following: If using IMO, click the Procedure IT button to launch the IMO template. Click the Procedure Codes button below the Procedures grid to launch the IORTS Px Xpo template. Click on procedures to be billed in the grid. When you click on a procedure, it moves to the coding grid and a check mark appears next to it in the Procedures grid. Only the procedures with a check mark in the Procedures grid and that are in the coding grid can be submitted to Superbill or the patient’s histories. The Codes grid in the Codes panel on the NTS Billing Config system template lists all possible codes on the therapy templates. All the listed codes are provided as billing guidelines and follow the coding guidelines. The codes are not payer specific, but you can customize them by payer in the Payer Specific Billing panel. You can sort codes within a specific code type. The sort order determines the order that the codes appear on the Fee Sheet template and the claim. This is a global setting for all practices. Note: If you are using NextGen® Clinical Message Manager, the order in NextGen® Clinical Message Manager overrides the code order if it does not match the order in the Codes panel. To configure payer-specific rules for the use of a code, select the code in this grid and then use the grids in the Payer Specific Billing Panel.
