Order Sets

On the Assessment/Plan – OPH template, the Order Sets link in the Plan section opens the My Plan tab of the My Plan/Orders tabbed template set. The My Plan template is a template where orders are placed based on client customizable order sets. Order sets are based on disease categories that correspond to the selected assessment. When you highlight an assessment in the upper left of the My Plan template, the template displays the orders for the disease category associated with the selected assessment. my plan template There are four order sets for Ophthalmology: diabetic retinopathy glaucoma cataracts macular degeneration Diagnostic tests can be set up by clients to be listed in either the Diagnostics or the Office Procedure sections of the My Plan template. Place Orders with My Plan

On the My Plan template, highlight an assessment in the upper left of the template in the Today's Assessments grid. Select the check boxes corresponding to items to be ordered. To select an order item not displayed: Click the down-arrow of an available field in the appropriate order type section to open a list of all items available in the system for that order type. Locate the item you want to order in the list, highlight it and click OK. The selected item appears in the field. Select the check box corresponding to the item to order it. Click Place Order.When you place orders for labs and radiology diagnostic studies, you or someone from your office must process and submit them to the Order module. Click the Lab/Diagnostics/Radiology Order Module Processing link found in the lower right corner of the template to launch the Process and Submit Lab/Radiology Orders template. Templates in the My Plan/Orders Template Set

Templates in the My Plan/Orders tabbed template set include the following: Assessments also known as the Add or Update Assessments template; used in other specialties to document assessments for the patient Today's Assessments. My Plan – the customizable My Plan template based on order sets for diagnosis categories that can be modified and managed by clients using practice templates; diagnosis categories are part of a reference system. A/P Details – the Assessment/Plan Details template, used in other specialties, where providers document impression, differential diagnoses, and plan details. Labs – the Orders module displaying the Lab section of the Orders Console is used for placing and managing lab orders Diagnostics – the Diagnostics Studies template used for ordering and managing diagnostic radiology studies, such as X-rays, CT scans, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and Ultrasound. Orders

Patient orders appear in the Orders panel. You can display orders by category using the Filter options in the panel. You can also filter Diagnostic Orders to display All tests or sort by the order status. The order categories are as follows: Appointment Requests/Orders Diagnostic Orders Labs oph order panel The Order Management link in the Orders panel opens the Order Management template, where you can update the status, co-sign, or cancel orders. The Follow-up button opens the Follow-up/Disposition template, where you can place follow-up orders. Manage a Diagnostic Test Order

You can manage test orders on the All Orders Management template. In Ophthalmology, you can document the completion of tests and their results on the procedure and testing templates. Note: Results for Ophthalmic diagnostic tests are not entered on the All Orders Management template. Place Orders from the My Plan Template

You can place orders for the patient using the My Plan template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template. The Care Guidelines Paged View template opens. In the Care Guidelines panel, select the Grid View link. The Care Guidelines grid view template opens. Expand the Recent Orders panel and select Add. The My Plan template opens. My Plan The My Plan template displays order items in the set appropriate for the selected assessment’s diagnosis category. To use a different template in the orders set, select the tab corresponding to the template to use (for example, Labs or Diagnostics). To add or change a diagnosis in the Today's Assessments grid, select Add or Edit. To change the current working assessment, select the diagnosis addressed for this encounter in the Today's Assessments grid. The selected diagnosis appears in the Selected Dx field.
