Optometry Specialty

To better serve the Optometry market, the Optometry specialty has been added to the NextGen® Ophthalmic Suite. Practices with Optometrists may choose to document their technician and provider exams using this workflow as it is focused on eye care specific to this specialty. The following visit types are included for the Optometry specialty:
  • Low Vision Exam
  • Office Visit
  • Post-Op Exam
  • Well Vision Exam
The optometry workflow is fully integrated into the ophthalmology workflow and Optical Management application, providing a seamless and efficient experience for all users.
  • Optometry Office Visit Optometrists can document their standard office visit using the Office Visit visit type.
  • Low Vision Exam Visit The Low Vision Exam visit type opens a seven tab workflow for the technician and provider.
