Ophthalmic users can use the
My Phrases
link to insert commonly used phrases.
Note:
Common Phrases
are not available in the
NextGen® Ophthalmic Suite
.
Click the
My Phrases
link to open the
Manage My Phrases/ Common Phrases
template.
Select a phrase from the
My Phrases
grid.
The selected phrase has been inserted in the
Phrase
field.
Select another phrase, if applicable.
Click
Insert and Close
.
The phrase is inserted in the corresponding section or field.

Insert a Phrase with One Click Functionality
The Add Phrase on one click check box enables you to quickly select a single phrase and return to the template of origin. When you select the Add Phrase on one click check box on the Manage My Phrases/ Common Phrases template, it remains selected for future encounters until you clear the check box. Note: Common Phrases are not used in the NextGen® Ophthalmic Suite. Click the My Phrases link to open the Manage My Phrases/ Common Phrases template. Select the Add phrase on one click check box. My Phrases and Common Phrases
You can save phrases in a list for your own use in the NextGen Adaptive Content Engine templates. The My Phrases or My Phrases/ Common Phrases link on the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine templates opens the Manage My phrases/Common Phrases template. This functionality enables you to create your own phrases or add commonly used phrases. You can do the following from the Manage My Phrases/Common Phrases template. Insert single or multiple phrases or common phrases directly to a section Add phrases to the my phrases list Update or remove previous phrases Restore deleted phrase Insert a Phrase with My Phrases You can insert standard phrases to a the section or field below the My Phrases link. Insert Existing Phrases
You can insert existing phrases into a section by using the My Phrases/Common Phrases template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On a template, select the My Phrases/Common Phrases or My Phrases link. The Manage My Phrases/Common Phrases template opens. Select My Phrases or Common Phrases. If required, select the Add phrase on one click check box. Note: When you select the Add Phrase on one click check box, you can insert a phrase in a section or template and the check box remains selected for future encounters until you clear the check box. If you want to select more than one phrases, then you must clear the Add Phrase on one click check box. In the My Phrases grid, select one or more phrases. The selected phrase appears in the Phrase field. Select Insert and Close. The phrase is inserted in the respective section. Parent topic: My Phrases and Common Phrases

Add Phrases Commonly Used in Templates
You can add phrases to the My Phrases/Common Phrases lists. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the respective template or panel, select the My Phrases/ Common Phrases or My Phrases link. The Manage My Phrases/Common Phrases template opens. Select My Phrases. Select My phrase type. In My phrase summary, enter a brief description of the phrase. In the Phrase field, enter the phrase. Note: The Characters left to insert label indicates the number of characters remaining in the Phrase field. You can enter a maximum of 1000 characters in this field. Select Create My Phrase. Manage the My Phrase
You can update or delete a phrase in the My Phrases grid. You can update or delete a phrase in the My Phrases grid using the Update My Phrase or Delete button respectively. However, these options are disabled for Common Phrases. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the respective template or section, select the My Phrases/ Common Phrases or My Phrases link. The Manage My Phrases/Common Phrases template opens. On the Manage My Phrases/Common Phrases template, select My Phrases. All My Phrases appear in the My Phrases grid. In the My Phrases grid, select a phrase. The selected phrase appears in the Phrase field. Do one of the following: To update a phrase, modify the phrase, and select Update My Phrase. To delete a phrase, select Delete. Note: Ensure that the Add Phrase on one click check box is not selected. Parent topic: My Phrases and Common Phrases
