Document General Patient Information

In the General panel, select New patient or Established patient. The patient type is required for billing purposes and determines the type of visit code calculated on the Finalize tab. If the patient has been seen previously, the system automatically selects Established patient. Click the Historian field and select a value from the list or select the top blank line to type a different value. To enter a different date for First seen, click the field and select a date using the Calendar. For Vision Correction, select Yes or No. If yes, enter the Type and Years for the following: Glasses Contact Lenses Select OD or OS for Dominant Eye. Review of Systems

You can document review of system findings in the Review of Systems panel. review of systems panel On the Review of Systems panel, the ROS – OPH link opens the specialty-specific one-page ROS - OPH template, which provides a single place to document ROS findings. Health Monitor Intervals

The Health Monitor Intervals section on the Eye Configuration practice template enables practices to decide the time interval for tests. These time intervals are reflected in the Health Monitor section. This is a practice-wide setting, and practices need to review the settings as packaged with the system and makes changes as appropriate. health monitor section When an exam or test has been performed for a patient, the last date it was completed appears in the date field corresponding to that exam or test. Ophthalmic Suite Setup Templates

The NextGen® Ophthalmic Suite template set requires setup before use. Some of these configurations are required, and others are optional. You can find configurations specific to the NextGen® Ophthalmic Suite template sets on the Eye Configuration practice template. You can configure practice configurations for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine on the Practice Configuration practice template.
