Before you begin
You must have the necessary permissions to view and edit the patient chart and demographic details.
- Open NextGen® Mobile.
- On Hub, search for and select a patient from the advanced search.
You can also open
Patient Chart from the dictation job view, schedule, PAQ, and patient messages.
Note: If you do not set your NextGen® Enterprise defaults in NextGen® Mobile, Patient Chart opens in the generic view, where the Charges section does not display any charges, and the Diagnosis module is not available.
Patient Chart opens displaying the patient's general information and the NextGen® PxP Portal enrollment status. You can also view the encounter and practice details for NextGen® Enterprise users, and schedule and practice details for non-NextGen® Enterprise users.
- On the Patient Chart header, select the right arrow
icon.
The patient demographics view opens and displays the contact details where you can directly call and email your patient, location, referring and rendering provider, and insurance information.
- Optional: To update the profile picture, select the edit
icon, and then do one of the following:
If the patient’s profile picture is available in NextGen® Enterprise EHR, NextGen® Mobile displays it automatically for NextGen® Enterprise users.
- Select Take Photo, take a photo, select Use Photo, and then select Done.
- Select Choose from photos, select a photo from your photos, and then select Done.
You can also delete the profile picture if you are a NextGen® Enterprise linked user.
- Optional: To view the patient's clinical information in Facesheet, select the necessary section.
For NextGen clinics, you can view the future appointments scheduled for seven days, one month, three months, and six months.
Note: The clinical information in Facesheet is downloaded from NextGen® Enterprise EHR. You cannot edit the data in NextGen® Mobile.
