Capture the Document Images
Open NextGen® Mobile. In the Patient Chart view, select Docs & Images. Select Scan. The scan document window opens. Scan Document View If your camera is in manual shutter mode, select or select one of the device volume buttons. If your camera is in automatic shutter mode, your device automatically captures the image when it is ready. The document image is captured and displayed. You can drag the borders and capture the desired area of the image. To retake the image, select Retake. To keep the image, select Keep Scan. The image capture view opens with the captured image displayed as thumbnail. Captured Document Image If you want to scan additional pages, repeat the steps to scan each page in your document. Scan Documents
Before you begin Your clinic is integrated with NextGen® Enterprise EHR. You have set your NextGen default provider and location in NextGen® Mobile. Your dictator profile is linked to your NextGen® Enterprise credentials in NextGen® Mobile Cloud Portal. Your linked NextGen® Enterprise account has scanning access rights turned on in System Administrator. Your linked NextGen® Enterprise account belongs to a security group that is assigned the appropriate document types. You can scan up to ten pages per document and assign them to a predefined document type. When you save your scan, the document is saved in PDF format and uploaded to the patient's chart. Open NextGen® Mobile. Open the Patient Chart view. Select Docs & Images. The Docs & Images section opens. Select Scan. The scan document view opens. Add and Print Patient Photos
Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Chart, and then in Patient Lookup, enter your search criteria, and then select Find. Matching people and patient records appear in the search results. In Matching Records, select a patient record , and then select Open. The Patient Information tab opens in the Patient Chart window. Select the Chart Details tab, select the open menu icon next to patients profile picture, select New. You can add your patient photo from the Update Patient Information window by right-clicking on the picture placeholder, and then selecting New. In the Scanning Device Input window, select the open menu icon. To scan an image from a physical photograph, place the patient's photo on the scanner, select Acquire, and then select Ok. You can crop, delete, copy, and print the scanned images. The image appears Patient Information Bar. To take a digital image, select Capture, adjust the preview, if needed, select Capture, and then select Ok. The image appears

View Documents and Images
The Docs & Images tab on the Patient Chart view displays a chronological list of documents, images, SAP® Crystal Reports® from NextGen® Enterprise EHR and previous dictations from the patient's chart. Each entry shows the title, description (if any), and the date the entry is added. Open NextGen® Mobile. Open the Patient Chart view. Select Docs & Images. The Docs & Images section opens. Docs & Images View To search for a document or image, enter a search string in Search. To open a file, select the file. You can view your documents and images in landscape mode by rotating your device horizontally. Note: You must turn off Portrait Orientation Lock in your device. The selected file opens for your review. Document View You can view additional pages by swiping up or down and zoom the pages. Note: For NextGen® Enterprise clinic users, the word Sensitive appears in the cell for documents linked to sensitive encounters. Add Patient Photos to Charts
Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Chart or Chart Lookup Chart Lookup icon. The Patient Lookup window opens. In the Search Criteria section, enter the patient's information, and then select Find. Patient records that match the search criteria appear in the Matching Records section. Select the patient, and then select Open. The Patient Chart window opens. In the Chart Details tab, under Patient Picture, select open menu Open Menu icon and then select New to scan a new photograph, or Open to edit the current photograph. The Scanning Device Input window opens. Scanning Device Input Window Place the patient's driver's license or ID card on the scanner and adjust the scan guide to fit the original. Under Front, select open record and then select Acquire. The scanned image appears in the Image window. Note: The image in the Selected Segment box appears in the Demographics tab. Share Documents and Images
Open NextGen® Mobile. Open the Patient Chart view. Select Docs & Images. The Docs & Images section opens. Select Share. The Select Documents view opens. Select Documents View Send appears when you select documents. The number of documents selected is also displayed. Select the document. The selected document is highlighted. If only one document exists, the document opens. To share the documents, select Send. To share a document you have opened, you can select , and then select Share Document. The Select Contact(s) view opens. Select contacts. You can enter the contact name to filter the contact list. The selected contacts appear in the To field. Select Create.
