To enter charges for a patient, you must do the following:
Create a charge from the
Patient Chart
view.
Add images and comments, if any.
Add modifiers, change units, and determine billing for the charge.
Add diagnosis.
Submit the charge.

View Current Charges for an Individual Patient
On the Patient Chart view, you can view charges entered for a patient in the previous seven days. Open NextGen® Mobile. Open the Patient Chart view. Patient Chart view Select Charges. The list of charges entered for the patient in the last seven days appear. To view the details of a charge, select the charge from the list. The Charge Review view opens. View Current Charges for Patients
From the Hub view, you can view the list of charges for your patients in the last seven days. You can search for patient charges older than seven days using the advanced search Search icon. Open NextGen® Mobile. The Hub view opens. Select Charges. The Charges view appears listing all the charges you have entered for patients during the previous seven days. To view the details of a charge, select the patient name from the list. The Charge Review view opens. Charge Review view To review any images associated with the charge, select the image. You can zoom in or out the image. To view the details of a listed procedure, in the Procedures section, select View. The Charge Details view opens with the procedure details. You can check if billing is suppressed for the procedure and view the entered modifiers. Charge Details view Optional: To search for a charge, select Search icon, and then enter your search criteria. Managing Patient Charges
You can enter the charges related to a patient and patient procedure. Based on the configuration, the charges are delivered directly to NextGen® Enterprise EHR or NextGen® Mobile Cloud Portal for manual reviewing and processing by support personnel. Charge capture is available for the following types of clinics: Integrated Clinic You can select a checked-in appointment and enter charges, procedures, diagnosis, and comments. NextGen® Mobile sends data directly to NextGen® Enterprise EHR and NextGen® Mobile Cloud Portal. NextGen® Mobile sends data to NextGen Mobile Cloud Portal only for review and manual processing in the following conditions: If you attach images. If you enter charges for a patient who does not have an appointment or who is not checked-in. For example when you enter data for a patient from the search list. Add Comments to a Charge
You can add comments to charges to provide additional information about the charge. Comments are used for internal purposes only. Open NextGen® Mobile. Open the Patient Chart view. Patient Chart view In the Charges section, select New Charge. The New Charge view opens. New Charge view Select Add Comment. The Comments view opens. Enter your comments. Select New Charge.
