View Current Charges for an Individual Patient

On the Patient Chart view, you can view charges entered for a patient in the previous seven days. Open NextGen® Mobile. Open the Patient Chart view. Patient Chart view Select Charges. The list of charges entered for the patient in the last seven days appear. To view the details of a charge, select the charge from the list. The Charge Review view opens. Add Patients

When you add patients using NextGen® Mobile, the patient information is sent to NextGen Mobile Cloud Portal for review. You must add the patient details manually to NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open NextGen® Mobile The Hub view opens. Select Charges. The Charges view opens. Charges View Select New Patient. The patient details view opens. New Patient Details View Enter the patient details. Select Add. The New Patient Charge view opens with the current date in Date of Encounter. New Patient Charge view To change the date of encounter, select the displayed date. The calendar opens. Select the date and then select . To select a location for the patient, select Select Location. The Locations view opens. Select a location from the list. You can filter the list of locations by entering the location name in Filter Locations. The New Patient Charge view opens with the selected location. Add Charges for Patients

You can search and add charges for a patient. If you are a NextGen® Enterprise user, when you search for a charge, NextGen® Mobile searches your practice's Service Item Master (SIM) library. If you are not a NextGen® Enterprise user, NextGen® Mobile does an IMO code search. Open NextGen® Mobile. Open the Patient Chart view. Patient Chart view In the Charges section, select New Charge. The New Charge view opens. New Charge view Note: The Date of Service displays the current date. To change the Date of Service, select the date. The calendar opens. You can select a date and then select . Note: You cannot select a future date. To select a charge, select the charge in the Quick Picks section. The Quick Picks section displays either the charges that you have used at least twice for the patient or the charges appropriate for the current location. The selected charge appears below the service date heading. To search for a charge, do the following: Enter the search text in the Search New Charge

Managing Patient Charges

You can enter the charges related to a patient and patient procedure. Based on the configuration, the charges are delivered directly to NextGen® Enterprise EHR or NextGen® Mobile Cloud Portal for manual reviewing and processing by support personnel. Charge capture is available for the following types of clinics: Integrated Clinic You can select a checked-in appointment and enter charges, procedures, diagnosis, and comments. NextGen® Mobile sends data directly to NextGen® Enterprise EHR and NextGen® Mobile Cloud Portal. NextGen® Mobile sends data to NextGen Mobile Cloud Portal only for review and manual processing in the following conditions: If you attach images. If you enter charges for a patient who does not have an appointment or who is not checked-in. For example when you enter data for a patient from the search list. Suppress Billing or Add Modifiers

Open NextGen® Mobile. Open the Patient Chart view. Patient Chart view In the Charges section, select New Charge. The New Charge view opens. In the Search New Charges field, enter the name of the charge. Add Procedures Associated with Charges

Open NextGen® Mobile. Open the Patient Chart view. Select Today's Visit. Note: You must add or select an unlocked encounter. Select Charges. In the Procedures section, select Add.In Procedures, the favorite procedures are displayed. Procedures view displaying the favorite procedure groups To create a favorite procedure group, do the following: In Favorites, select Add, and then enter a group name. Select + Add Procedures, search for procedure codes or name, and then select the procedures from the list.The procedure group appears on the Favorites tab. You can also map modifiers to the favorite procedures, and select Edit to update the added procedure groups. To add procedures associated with a charge, do one of the following: In Favorites, select the favorite procedure groups, select the procedure codes, and then select Add.
