Create Orders in NextGen® Mobile

You can create an order for laboratory and radiology tests by selecting the necessary tests in the Today's Visit Orders section.

  1. Open NextGen® Mobile.
  2. Open the Patient Chart view for your patient.
  3. Select Today's Visit.

  4. Select + Add next to Orders.
    The + Add option is not available on locked encounters and for non-NextGen® Enterprise users.
    The Select Order Type view opens displaying the Laboratory and Radiology order types.
  5. Select an order type.
    The respective New Order view opens displaying the patient demographic, clinical, and performing entity information.
  6. Optional: To add additional patient diagnosis, select Add icon next to Select Diagnosis, select a diagnosis from the list, and then select Done.
    The diagnosis appears in Select Diagnosis.
  7. Select a performing entity.
    You can turn on Use NextGen Compendium, if needed.
  8. Select Plus icon next to the respective test type.
    The corresponding view opens.
  9. Search for and select a test from the provider, practice, or master list, and then select Done.
    The selected tests with the mapped diagnoses appear in the New Order view.
