Add Lab and Radiology Tests to Orders

Before you begin To place orders with NextGen® Compendium in NextGen® Mobile, you must configure Use NextGen Compendium for New Orders in File Maintenance. To use favorite tests in NextGen® Mobile, you must configure favorite tests for the practice and provider in File Maintenance. For more information on configuring the favorite tests and NextGen® Compendium, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Orders Module Setup Guide forNextGen®Enterprise EHR. You can search for and select laboratory and radiology tests from the provider, practice, and master list tests and add them to an order. Open NextGen® Mobile. Open the Patient Chart view for your patient. Select Today's Visit. Orders Section in Today's Visit Note: The + Add option next to the Orders is unavailable for Non-NextGen users and for the locked encounter. Select the Performing Entity

The performing entity is the laboratory and radiology facility to place a test. By default, the performing entity appears in NextGen® Mobile based on the setup in File Maintenance. You can change the performing entity in NextGen® Mobile, if needed. Open NextGen® Mobile. Open the Patient Chart view for your patient. Select Today's Visit. Orders Section in Today's Visit Note: You must select an unlocked encounter or you can create an encounter. In NextGen® Mobile, the Orders section is available for NextGen® Enterprise EHR version 6.0 and later. Select + Add next to Orders. The + Add option is not available on locked encounters and for non-NextGen® Enterprise users. The Select Order Type view opens displaying the Laboratory and Radiology order types. Select an order type. Note: After upgrading, when you select an order type for the first-time, the Ambient Orders view opens with all the performing entities selected by default. Place Orders using NextGen® Ambient Assist

Before you begin Ensure that you have the permission for NextGen® Ambient Assist in NextGen® Mobile Cloud Portal. You can select tests from the Suggested tab in Orders without manually searching, and send them to NextGen® Enterprise EHR. You can assign the task to yourself, a workgroup, or a NextGen® Enterprise user. Note: To select the ambient suggested tests, the generated ambient note must be available for the selected encounter. You can request and obtain NextGen® Ambient Assist trials. For unlimited NextGen® Ambient Assist orders, you must upgrade to the NextGen® Mobile Pro package. Open NextGen® Mobile. Map Patient Diagnoses to Tests

You can search for and select the patient's diagnoses to map to laboratory and radiology tests for the selected encounter. You can also remove the patient's diagnoses, if needed. Open NextGen® Mobile. Open the Patient Chart view for your patient. Select Today's Visit. Orders Section in Today's Visit Note: You must select an unlocked encounter or you can create an encounter. In NextGen® Mobile, the Orders section is available for NextGen® Enterprise EHR version 6.0 and later. Select + Add next to Orders. The + Add option is not available on locked encounters and for non-NextGen® Enterprise users. The Select Order Type view opens displaying the Laboratory and Radiology order types. Create Orders in NextGen® Mobile

You can create an order for laboratory and radiology tests by selecting the necessary tests in the Today's Visit Orders section. Note: You can place 25 complimentary orders per month. For unlimited orders, you must upgrade to the NextGen® Mobile Plus or NextGen® Mobile Pro package. In NextGen® Mobile, you can add laboratory and radiology tests to orders in the following ways: From the ambient-suggested tests. Note: You can place five complimentary trials of ambient orders per month. For unlimited ambient orders, you must upgrade to the NextGen® Mobile Pro package.
