Expiring Alert Threshold

Use the Expiring Alert Threshold grid to configure the medication and the days prior to expiration date for the alert to display. You can add or update alert thresholds, or toggle the status of alerts between Active and Inactive. You can only add or update alerts when the grid is set to show Active entries. Inactivate an Expiring Medication Alert

You can inactivate any expiring medication alert. This stops the alert from firing and removes it from view when the Active option is selected. Select the entry in the grid. View Inactive Alerts

Reactivate an Alert

You can restore an Inactive alert to Active status. Select the Inactive option to view inactive alerts in the grid. Select the alert from the grid. Select Toggle. Generate Expiring Medications Report

You can generate the Expiring Medications report from the Reports panel of the Inventory Management template. The Expiring Medications report displays the medications that are either expired or about to expire. You can set the parameters to be included in the Expiring Medications report on the MLTS CR Reports Prompts template for the Expiring Medications report. Note: If you do not select any criteria, the report displays all items in all grids for the selected practice. On the MLTS Reports template, expand the Reports panel. Select the Expiring Medications icon. The MLTS CR Reports Prompts template for the Expiring Medications report opens. From the Practice field, select a practice. The report defaults to the practice that you are logged on to. However, you can select another practice. In the Locations panel, select the locations from the Location Name grid. The locations move to the Selected Locations grid, and sub-locations for the selected locations appear in the Sub-Location Name

Update a Medication Quantity

You can change a quantity in the Medication Quantity Picklist. Select the field below the Medication column of the grid. The MLTS MedOnly PL picklist opens. Select the medication for which you want to change the picklist entry, and select OK. The medication and unit type enter the respective fields, and the grids shows all values currently in the picklist for that medication. Select the entry from the grid. The quantity enters the field below the Quantity column of the grid. Select the Quantity field. A Number Pad opens. Enter the new quantity and select OK. Select Update. The picklist entry is updated in the grid. The medication name and unit type remain in the fields below the grid. Parent topic: Medication Quantity Picklists
