Schedule Tasking Jobs
You can set up a nightly or weekly job to run and sends tasks to the assigned user or workgroup based on the criteria set in the
Tasking Job
panel.
Note:
Only
Low Inventory Nightly
and
Expired Meds Nightly
tasks can be set up in the
Tasking Jobs
panel.
On the
Specialty Config Home
template, select
Tasking Manager
from the left navigation bar.
The
MICS Tasking Manager
system template opens.
Expand the
Tasking Jobs
panel.
Select a task from the
Tasking Jobs
panel to set up the job .
Select one of the options from the
Type
field, and update the
Time
and
Date
fields.
Note:
If
Nightly
option is selected, then only the
Time
field has to be updated.
Select
Yes
option the
Run
field and select
Update
.

Preconfigured Tasks
You can use preconfigured tasks created in the Tasks panel on the MICS Tasking Manager system template. Low Inventory Sends notification to the assigned user or workgroup when medication dispensing or administration of a medication causes the inventory to fall below the configured par level. New NDC Added Sends notification to the assigned user or workgroup when adding the National Drug Code (NDC) using the Add Codes or NDC to Service Item Master link in the Medication Information Configuration panel on the MICS Medication & Billing system template. New SIM Code Added Sends notification to the assigned user or workgroup when adding the Service Item Master (SIM) code using the Add Codes or NDC to Service Item Master link in the Medication Information Configuration panel on the MICS Medication & Billing system template. Remove Recipients from Tasks
You can remove a user, workgroup, or provider from a task. On the Specialty Config Home template, select Tasking Manager from the left navigation bar. On the MICS Tasking Manager template, expand the Tasks panel. From the Tasks grid, select the task you want to remove recipient from. In the Task Options panel, the call name and assignee name appear in the Task Name and Assign To grid, respectively. Assign Tasks
You can assign a task to a specific user or workgroup or to the rendering provider to automatically send the task to them. Warning: You must assign a recipient to the New NDC Added and New SIM Code Added tasks. If no recipient is assigned, no task fires even if the task is enabled. On the Specialty Config Home template, select Tasking Manager from the left navigation bar. On the MICS Tasking Manager template, expand the Tasks panel. Tasks_panel From the Tasks grid, select the task you want to assign. The Task Name field on the Task Options panel displays the call name for the selected task. Task Options panel In the Task Options panel, select the task recipients under Task To: The selected recipient appear in the Name field. Update Tasks
You can update tasks that are already configured for medical record templates in NextGen® Medication Inventory Control. On the Specialty Config Home template, select Tasking Manager from the left navigation bar. The MICS Tasking Manager system template opens. Expand the Tasks panel. From the Tasks grid, select the task to update. The task details are automatically filled in their corresponding fields. Update the task details as needed. Note: You cannot edit Call Name and Call Description fields. To deactivate the task without updating any other details, clear the Enabled checkbox. Select Add . Update. Create Tasks
You can configure tasks for various medical record templates of NextGen® Medication Inventory Control. You can configure tasks in the Tasks panel on the MICS Tasking Manager template. However, some tasks are already configured for you in the Tasks panel. Note: A manual task cannot be automatically triggered on any medical record templates. You can select the task icon in the QuickPick toolbar of the medical record templates to open the Add New Task window to manually send a task to desired recipients. On the Specialty Config Home template, select Tasking Manager from the left navigation bar. The MICS Tasking Manager system template opens. Expand the Tasks panel. Configure tasks in Tasks panel Select the Show in EHR and Enabled checkboxes. Enter a task name in the Call Name field. Delete Task
If a task available for medical record templates is not necessary, you can delete the task in NextGen® Medication Inventory Control. Note: NextGen Healthcare recommends deactivating unnecessary tasks instead of deleting them. You can clear the Enabled check box for an existing task to deactivate that task. On the Specialty Config Home template, select Tasking Manager from the left navigation bar. On the MICS Tasking Manager template, expand the Tasks panel.
