Filter the Invoice Grid

The invoice grid shows unpaid invoices by default. You can select the Paid or All option above the grid to show paid invoices or all invoices respectively.

Update Invoice Information

You can update an invoice total, due date or terms. Select the invoice from the grid. The information fills into the fields below the grid. Change the invoice total, due date, or terms by editing the entries in those fields. Select Update. The updates are saved to the grid. Parent topic: Invoice Panel

Mark an Invoice as Paid

Once an invoice has been paid, you can mark it paid in the invoice grid. Select the invoice from the grid. Select the Mark as Paid button. The invoice moves to the list of paid invoices. To see it, select the Paid option. Parent topic: Invoice Panel

Add an Invoice

Select the field below the Inv. # column of the grid and enter the invoice number. Select in the field below the Vendor column of the grid and select a vendor from the picklist. Select the field below the Shipper column and enter the name of the shipper. Enter the invoice total in the field below the Inv. Total column. Enter the due date in the field below the Due Date column, in MM/DD/YYYY format. Enter any invoice terms in the field below the InvoiceTerms column. Select Add. The invoice is saved to the grid. Use the Invoice panel to view paid and unpaid invoices, enter invoice information, mark invoices as paid, enter invoices for items required on the Inventory Management template, and to run a False Profits Report. Show or Hide Grid Lines on Invoices

Invoices can contain grid lines that may make them easier to read. You can show or hide these grid lines on invoices when you preview an invoice, print an invoice on demand, or print an invoice in batch mode. Open the Practice Preferences window, then select the Invoices Practice Preferences. To display grid lines on invoices, select the Show Grid Lines check box. To hide the grid lines on invoices, clear the Show Grid Lines check box. You can override the default set here when you print invoices. Parent topic: Invoices Practice Preferences

Invoices Practice Preferences

The Invoices Practice Preferences enable you to set up default information for employer invoices for your practice and all related service locations. Invoice Options Field Description Minimum Invoice Amount Select this check box to designate a minimum balance to be used for printing an invoice. For example, you might not want to spend the amount on postage if the account has a zero balance. Invoice Sort By Select one of the following sorting options: option to sort and print invoices in alphabetical order by employer name or by invoice ID. Enter the drop-down arrow and select either Employer Name or Invoice ID. If you choose to sort invoices in alphabetical order by employer name, the invoice ID is used as a secondary sort. For example, if you have multiple invoices to print, all the invoices will first sort in alphabetical order. If there are multiple invoices for one employer, those invoices will then be sorted in ascending order by invoice number. Show Grid Lines Select this option
