Waste Medications

You can remove a particular quantity of a non-vaccine medication and waste them from the medication inventory. You can use the Inventory Management template to waste medications from the inventory. You can also waste medications from the medical record templates during dispensing or administration. On the Inventory Management template, expand the Medication Inventory panel. Select the Waste option below the medication grid. The fields below the medication grid, except the Qty field, are disabled for editing. The Reason for Waste field and Waste Medication button appear below the medication grid. Filter the medications displayed in the grid for selecting the desired medication. Select the medication to be wasted from the medication grid. The following fields are automatically filled based on the selected medication. Adjust Medications

You can adjust the quantity of non-vaccine medications in the medication inventory. On the Inventory Management template, expand the Medication Inventory panel. Select the Adjust option below the medication grid. The fields below the medication grid, except the Qty field, are disabled for editing. The Reason for Adjustment field and Adjust Quantity button appear below the medication grid. Filter the medications displayed in the grid for selecting the desired medication. Select the medication to be adjusted from the medication grid. The following fields are automatically filled based on the selected medication. Add Medications to the Inventory Manually

On the Inventory Management template, you can manually add non-vaccine medications to the medication inventory. On the Inventory Management template, expand the Medication Inventory panel. Select the Add option appearing below the medication grid. Note: If the Require Invoice #s for Items check box is selected on the Invoice Configuration template, and you select the Add option, the Vendor, Cost, and Invoice # fields appear below the medication grid. After entering the details of the medication, you can add values in the fields. The Received Date field appears displaying today's date if the Enable Received Date check box is selected on the Miscellaneous Configuration template, the medication is received on some other day, and when you select the Add option available under the medication grid. After entering the details of the medication, you can enter the date when the medication is received. Select the Source field, select a source type from the sources window, and then select OK. Not

Managing Medications in the Inventory

You can search for the medication inventory, view inventory details, and manage non-vaccine medications in the inventory. On the Inventory Management template, in the Medication Inventory panel, you can search for the medication inventory and view inventory details. The total number of items in the medication grid and the total quantity of the non-vaccine medications appear in the Grid Count and Grid Total fields respectively. You can also add, waste, adjust, and transfer non-vaccine medications in the medications grid. You can use the fields above the medication grid to filter medications based on a filter criteria. The filter criteria are specific to the selected location and sub-location, and the Sub-Location field appears only if it is configured in the Sub-Location(s) & Par Level Configuration panel on the Admin Configuration template. Generate Inventory On Hand Report

You can generate the Inventory On Hand report from the Reports panel of the Inventory Management template. The Inventory On Hand report displays all the details about medications currently available in the inventory. You can set the parameters to be included in the Inventory On Hand report on the MLTS CR Reports Prompts template for the Inventory On Hand report. Note: If you do not select any criteria, the report displays all items in all grids for the selected practice. On the MLTS Reports template, expand the Reports panel. Select the Inventory On Hand report icon. The MLTS CR Reports Prompts template for the Inventory On Hand report opens. From the Practice field, select a practice. The report defaults to the practice that you are logged on to. However, you can select another practice. In the Locations panel, select the locations from the Location Name grid. Generate Expiring Medications Report

You can generate the Expiring Medications report from the Reports panel of the Inventory Management template. The Expiring Medications report displays the medications that are either expired or about to expire. You can set the parameters to be included in the Expiring Medications report on the MLTS CR Reports Prompts template for the Expiring Medications report. Note: If you do not select any criteria, the report displays all items in all grids for the selected practice. On the MLTS Reports template, expand the Reports panel.
