Export the Inventory
- Select the Mass Inventory Update button below the inventory grid.
The Import/Export MEDics Inventory template opens.
- Create an import folder location.
Note: We recommend saving this under the NextGen Root and creating a folder called MEDicsInventoryReport, in file path: \\[YOUR SERVER]\NextGenRoot\MEDicsInventoryReport.
- Enter that file path into the Import Folder Location field.
- Select the Export Report button.
The Enter Parameter Values window opens. It has a list of available locations in the grid on the left and selected locations in the grid on the right.
- Move the locations for which you want to update the inventory, to the Selected Values grid.
- To move all locations, click the >> button between the grids
- To move specific locations, select them in the Available Values grid, and select the > button.
- To remove all locations from the Selected Values grid, select the Remove All button.
- To move specific locations from the Selected Values grid, select them and select the Remove button.
- Select OK to generate the report.
The report opens.
- Export the report from Crystal Reports Viewer by selecting the Export Report icon in the upper left.
A file explorer save file window opens.
- Change the entry in theSave as type field to Microsoft Excel (97-2003) (.xls).
- Select Save to save the file to the file folder.
