Configuring Immunizations

On the Immunizations Configuration template, you can add immunizations to your inventory. You can use the Immunizations Configuration template to add immunizations to the main inventory. You can also configure the administration codes for billing the COVID-19 vaccines. The First Databank drug database is used for storing immunizations. The following table describes the panels on the Immunizations Configuration template. Panel Description Immunization Inventory Set-up You can use this panel to add, update, and delete immunizations from the immunization grid, and send them to the main inventory. You can import a list of immunizations using a CSV file path, or manually add the details using the fields below the immunization grid. You can also configure the automatic provider sign-off. Sign Off Immunizations Orders

Supervising physicians and other authorized users can sign off completed or Pending Immunization orders. Select an immunizations order from the Orders Summary tab or the Immunizations Chart view. Do one of the following: Select Sign-off from the toolbar. Right-click an Immunizations order, and select Sign-off from the list. The Sign-off Vaccines for Order window opens. Note: All immunizations are selected by default. Select the appropriate Immunizations order and add your comments. To include your comment for all the selected immunizations, select Apply Comments To All. To sign off the Immunizations and save your comments, select Sign-off. On the Orders Summary tab, the Sign-off date and Sign-off person displays. The system updates the NextGen Status column to Signed-off. Note: If a user attempts to sign off an order that is already signed off, the order displays in read-only mode in the Sign-off Vaccines for Order window. Parent topic: Administering Immunizations

Sign-Off the Orders as a Provider

You can review and sign-off an order on the Cosign/Review Orders template. Open the ASC - Physician Procedure template. In the Assessment / Plan panel, select the Review/Cosign Orders link.The Cosign/Review Orders template opens. Cosign/Review Orders In the Orders panel, all the orders and expected immunization orders placed in the current encounter appear. In the Immunizations Today panel, only the immunization orders placed in the current encounter appear. In the Orders panel, to sign off on an order: Select an order from the grid in the Orders panel. The selected order details appear in the Details of individual order section at the bottom of the template. If necessary, add comments in the Clinical information/comments field. In the Cosign/sign off orders section, the Individual order option is selected by default. Order (Lab) results can be set up to display in the Provider Approval Queue to require sign off from a provider. Before you can use this function, you must have rights using the System Administrator. Open System Administrator and enter your credentials. Select the practice. Select View > Provider Signoff Setup. The Provider Signoff Setup window opens. Note: If you do not see the Provider Signoff Setup selection, select View, select System Info, and then turn on the Enable Provider Approval Queue check box. It should then show up in the View menu as one of the selections. Select one or more providers in the list, or select the All Providers check box to select providers. Select the Setup tab. Select the All Lab Results check box and select Use Encounter Provider or Use Ordering Provider. Select Save.
