Set Up Rights for Sign Off on Orders Results

To sign off Orders Results, a setting in NextGen System Administrator has to be turned on. When set to Yes, it gives system users rights to update the NextGen test results. Open System Administrator and enter your credentials. Select the practice. Select to select the user to whom you want to give Orders Results Sign Off rights. Select the Rights tab. Scroll through the list to find the Orders Results Sign Off right. In the Access Rights section in the right pane, check the box by Yes or No. A Yes selection allows a user with this setting to sign off on test and radiology orders. Select Save. Provider Sign-Off Set Up

In addition to setting permission for sign-off on test results, you define who is notified of the results. When setting up the PAQ, you can require that test results be signed off by the ordering provider or the encounter provider. The provider on the encounter may be different from the provider ordering the test. Using System Administrator Guide for NextGen Enterprise, you can setup to which Provider's approval Queue (PAQ) you want the test results sent. Set Up Provider Assignment and Relationship

To allow users to properly work with the PAQ and be able to sign off on items such as documents and images, you must set up the provider assignment and provider relationship. To set up provider assignment, in System Administrator, select the user that you want to set up a provider assignment for. From the Assigned Provider drop-down list on the General tab, select the provider to assign to the selected user. The providers listed are the ones that are selected as rendering providers at this practice on the Practice tab of the Add/Modify Provider Information window in File Maintenance. Select Update. To set up a provider relationship, select the user that you want to set up a Provider Relationship for. From the Provider Relationship list on the General tab, select the applicable relationship between the selected user and the assigned provider. If you are a Provider, choose Self If necessary, enter a date in the Provider Start Date and Provider End Date field for the specific relationship

The PAQ in the Workflow module enables you an easy sign-off capability for documents, images, notes, NextGen® Document Management images, orders, SAP® Crystal Reports®, and HIE documents. You need to use the latest version of SAP Crystal Reports. You must enter user name and password to access the PAQ Workflow module. You can select one of the available items to review, accept, reject, or create a new task associated with the item. The PAQ is an optional feature, available in System Administrator. If your practice does not enable the PAQ to use, the functionality for existing Workflow module remains same. If you enable the PAQ, the Top toolbar within NextGen® Enterprise EHR displays an additional PAQ icon . Select to enable the PAQ access and complete the setup for all applicable users.
