Update a Medication Quantity

You can change a quantity in the Medication Quantity Picklist. Select the field below the Medication column of the grid. The MLTS MedOnly PL picklist opens. Select the medication for which you want to change the picklist entry, and select OK. The medication and unit type enter the respective fields, and the grids shows all values currently in the picklist for that medication. Select the entry from the grid. The quantity enters the field below the Quantity column of the grid. Select the Quantity field. A Number Pad opens. Enter the new quantity and select OK. Select Update. The picklist entry is updated in the grid. The medication name and unit type remain in the fields below the grid. Parent topic: Medication Quantity Picklists

Enable/Disable the Quantity Picklist

The Enable Quantity Picklist check box controls whether a picklist or number pad opens for Quantity (Qty) fields on the medical records templates of the NextGen® Medication Inventory Control. To enable the picklist, mark the Enable Quantity Picklist check box. The MLTSmedQtyPL picklist will open when a user selects the Qty field. To disable the Quantity (Qty) field picklist, clear the Enable Quantity Picklist check box. Remove a Medication Quantity from the Picklist

Medication Quantity Picklists

Use the Medication Quantity Picklists panel to enable the quantity picklist that opens for medications on medical record templates, and to configure the picklist values for medication quantities. Note: You can build the picklist even if it is not enabled, however, building the picklist is only necessary if the picklist is enabled. Document Medication Details Manually

You can document medication details for an eye injection procedure manually. The picklists for many of the fields open sequentially on selecting a value in the previous field. However you can change your selection in any of the fields by selecting another value. Note: You must select a Sub-location, If sub-locations are turned on for your practice. Open the MICS MedAdmin OPH template, and then do one of the following: To document the right-eye-injection procedure, expand the OD Injection panel. To document the left-eye-injection procedure, expand the OS Injection panel. Injection panel on the MICS MedAdmin OPH template Select Source. The MLTS Dbpl Medication Name list appears. Document the Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Injection Procedure Manually

You can add up to two medications for a PRP injection procedure. On the MICS Injections/Aspirations template, expand the Procedure Type panel. Select the Procedure Type as PRP Injection. PRP Injection Only Panel Select the sub-location, if turned on. Enter the procedure information. From the Source field, select the source of medication. The MLTS Dbpl Medication Name picklist opens. Select the medication being administered in the Medication field. The MLTS Dbpl Med Ndc Lot Inj picklist opens. Select the lot number for the medication in the Lot Number field. The Quantity keypad opens. Enter the quantity being given, and select OK. Note: For single dose medications, if you enter the less quantity than the vial amount, a confirmation message appears to confirm wasting the remaining quantity. You must select Yes.
