Set up Print Graph Trigger

The Print Graph action automatically prints data from a selected graph to a default printer and displays a print notification. Follow the applicable steps in General Trigger Setup. Select the Print Graph action. The Print Graph window opens. Select the graph field to print data from. To save the information and close the window, select OK. Set up Launch Image Trigger

The Launch Image action enables you to save the current template and then launch a preselected image. Follow the applicable steps in General Trigger Setup. Select the Launch Image action. The Launch Image window opens. Select an image to be launched from the selected field. To save the information and close the window, select OK. Set up Refresh Template Trigger

The Refresh Template action refreshes the display of template structure and/or data at run time. Follow the applicable steps in General Trigger Setup. Select the Refresh Template action . Set up GET Template Notification Data Trigger

The Get Template Notification Data trigger can be used to store and/or display data sent from the Graphical Exam Tool (GET) when a user performs certain actions in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. For example, the trigger can be executed when a user selects an annotation on an active image, selects finding or action hyperlinks in the Findings Grid, or updates the patient's reason for visit. Note: This trigger is available only from a Template Notify event on a Medical Records template. Before you create this trigger, set up a text data entry field or variable on your template to hold the notification parameter. If you set up Template Popup options for a finding, procedure, or lab order in a GET profile, use this trigger together with a Template Pop-Up trigger. The Get Template Notification Data trigger pulls the name of the Popup template into the notification parameter field, and the Template Pop-Up trigger launches that template. Change a Trigger

You can edit the field, event, action, or condition for an existing trigger. The edit function also provides a quick way for you to add a trigger based on an existing, simple trigger. This capability cannot be used for certain triggers that are tied to cross-reference tables (for example, the Assign Field Value trigger tied to the trig_mf_xref table). To open the Triggers window, do one of the following: Right-click anywhere on the template, and then select Triggers from the shortcut menu. On the Main toolbar, select Triggers. From the View menu, select Triggers. Select a specific field within the template. Select Triggers, select View > Triggers, or right-click the selected field, and then select Triggers from the shortcut menu. Note: The Copy and Paste buttons appear on the Triggers window only when you select a specific field on the template. In the Triggers window, select the trigger you want to change. Fax Note Trigger

The Fax Note action enables users to automatically fax patient data stored in the note field. Follow the applicable steps in General Trigger Setup. Select the Fax Note action. The Fax Note window opens. Select the template field to fax the note file from. To save the information and close the window, select OK.
