Set up Template Pop-Up Trigger

The Template Pop-Up action launches a predefined Popup template. You can place this trigger on fields on Sidebar templates as well as other template types. Use this trigger together with a Get Template Notification Data trigger to launch Popup templates for the Graphical Exam Tool (GET) component. Follow the applicable steps in General Trigger Setup. Select the Template Pop-Up action. The Template Pop-Up window opens. Select the template or the field or variable you want to use to launch the template pop-up. Select Fields, Templates, or Variables, and then select the applicable item from the list that displays. Select the Ignore Alias check box to use the original NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Note: This functionality is available only if the NextGen® Enterprise EHR have been locked down. Select Script It. The Script Clipboard window opens with the script of the label. Set up Trigger Script Trigger

The Trigger Scripts enables you to create, maintain, and invoke reusable structured code blocks. These structure code blocks can perform all the operations of existing trigger actions. The Template Runtime provides the ability to debug trigger scripts and set break points in trigger scripts, code execution, and examine values. A debug attribute can be set for any Trigger Script trigger. When a trigger with the debug attribute is executed in runtime, the Trigger Script Debugger window displays and execution is paused at the related trigger scripts and then goes through the code execution, examining values, and evaluating code segments. Follow the applicable steps in General Trigger Setup. Select the Trigger Script action. The Trigger Script window opens. In the Function Script Name list, select the required structured code block or script name. The Comments box displays the related comments and the Parameters grid displays the respective parameters. Set up GET Template Notification Data Trigger

The Get Template Notification Data trigger can be used to store and/or display data sent from the Graphical Exam Tool (GET) when a user performs certain actions in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. For example, the trigger can be executed when a user selects an annotation on an active image, selects finding or action hyperlinks in the Findings Grid, or updates the patient's reason for visit. Note: This trigger is available only from a Template Notify event on a Medical Records template. Before you create this trigger, set up a text data entry field or variable on your template to hold the notification parameter. If you set up Template Popup options for a finding, procedure, or lab order in a GET profile, use this trigger together with a Template Pop-Up trigger. The Get Template Notification Data trigger pulls the name of the Popup template into the notification parameter field, and the Template Pop-Up trigger launches that template. Insert a GET Component

You can insert a Graphical Exam Tool (GET) component field on a Medical Records template. You can place one or more GET components on a template. You can hide the component when the template is launched using the Hidden property. For more information on the Graphical Exam Tool component, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Graphical Exam Tool User Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Drag the Component icon from the Fields toolbar to the template design area where you want to place it. The Hosted Component Field Properties window opens. In the Field Name text box, enter the name you want to assign. Note: The name GET is reserved for system use and cannot be entered here. From the Component Name list, select GraphExamTool. Using Templates

NextGen® Enterprise EHR uses templates to record and store patient demographic and medical information electronically. Templates provide a simple way to enter medical information and compile patient records. All of the data entered into a template can later be used for statistical reports, document generation, and further review of the patient's information. NextGen® Enterprise EHR offers a set of predefined templates known as the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine and enables the creation of user-defined templates by system administrators. Based on the setup of a specific template or trigger, some workflows may follow those in the NextGen® Enterprise EHR modules (for example, Medications, Procedures, Problems), and some may be specific to the template.
