Setup Graphical Exam Tool (GET)

The Graphical Exam Tool (GET) settings enable you to manage profiles, findings, exam tools, procedures, attributes, and reasons for visit. Display the Hosted Component Field Properties window in one of these ways: Double-click an inserted GET component field. Right-click an inserted GET component field to display the shortcut menu, and select Propertie. Select Settings. The Graphical Exam Tool - Settings window opens. Select the applicable tab to set up: Profiles Findings Exam Tools Procedures Attributes Reasons for Visit Note: Before you add a GET profile, set up the necessary findings, exam tools, procedures, attributes, and reasons for visit. Graphical Exam Tool Annotations

The Graphical Exam Tool (GET) enables you to: Place annotations on images to document the location of findings. The placement of the annotations is converted into text and captured as an attribute of the finding. The attributes are saved to the patient's chart. For example, a dermatologist can place findings for cancer on an image. The attributes related to each finding can include size, color, location, or description. Attach a finding to a chief complaint or reason for visit. You can attach multiple findings to different reasons for visit. Mark a finding for follow-up and create a to-do task for the finding. Attach an image (photo or drawing) to a finding. The image can be from the provider's file system or from the patient's chart for the current encounter. NextGen® Enterprise EHR use templates to record and store patient demographic and medical information electronically. Templates provide a simple way to enter medical information and compile patient records. All of the data entered into a template can later be used for statistical reports, document generation, and further review of the patient's information. NextGen® Enterprise EHR offers a set of predefined templates known as NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine and enables the creation of user-defined templates by system administrators. Based on the setup of a specific template or trigger, some workflows may follow those in the NextGen® Enterprise EHR modules (for example, Medications, Procedures, Problems), and some may be specific to the template. GET Settings

The Graphical Exam Tool employs user profiles to control how the tool displays details and how aspects of the tool function. You can create and modify user profiles based on the requirements. For NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine, the Graphical Exam Tool (GET) is pre-configured with a user profile named derm_exam to meet the dermatologist’s specific requirements. Insert a GET Component

You can insert a Graphical Exam Tool (GET) component field on a Medical Records template. You can place one or more GET components on a template. You can hide the component when the template is launched using the Hidden property. For more information on the Graphical Exam Tool component, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Graphical Exam Tool User Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Drag the Component icon from the Fields toolbar to the template design area where you want to place it. The Hosted Component Field Properties window opens. In the Field Name text box, enter the name you want to assign. Note: The name GET is reserved for system use and cannot be entered here. From the Component Name list, select GraphExamTool. The Profile Name field and Settings button are enabled. The Settings button enables you to add, update, remove, or view the settings for an existing profile.
