Disable Control Trigger

The Disable Control action disables the selected field(s) on a template at run time. You cannot disable the following types of fields: web browser, patient image, graph, lab order, sub template, and GET component. Note: If you disable a collapsible panel, all fields on it are also disabled. You can enable specific fields on the panel separately. All other fields on the panel remain disabled. Follow the applicable steps in General Trigger Setup. Select the Disable Control action. The Disable Template Field window opens. From the Available Template Fields pane, select each field you want to disable, and then select Add. The selected fields appear in the Fields to Disable pane and the OK button is enabled. You can select the multiple fields by selecting the Ctrl button. Note: You can remove the selected fields by selecting the fields from Fields to Disable pane and selecting the Remove button. Change Field Color Trigger

The Change Field Color action enables you to change: Text color for label, active text, data entry (edit), and check box fields Background color for a data entry field Change the color of multiple fields at a time on a template Assign the color from a template field or variable at run time instead of during trigger setup. Note: Set colors for selected and unselected active text in the Values tab on the Insert or Edit Active Text window. Follow the applicable steps in General Trigger Setup. Select the Change Field Color action. The Change Field Color window lists all of the template fields that can change field color. From the Available Template Fields pane, select each field for which you want to change color, and select Add. The selected field displays in the Fields to Change pane and the OK button is enabled. Set up Goto Field Trigger

The Goto Field action changes the selected field on a template by moving the cursor to the next preselected field. This trigger can be used to go to a field on a collapsible panel. Follow the applicable steps in General Trigger Setup. To display the Goto Field window, select the Goto Field action . Select a field from the list. Select Script It. The Script Clipboard window opens with the script of the label. To copy the script to clipboard, you can select Copy to Clipboard. Select OK. Set up Template Pop-Up Trigger

The Template Pop-Up action launches a predefined Popup template. You can place this trigger on fields on Sidebar templates as well as other template types. Use this trigger together with a Get Template Notification Data trigger to launch Popup templates for the Graphical Exam Tool (GET) component. Follow the applicable steps in General Trigger Setup. Select the Template Pop-Up action. The Template Pop-Up window opens. Select the template or the field or variable you want to use to launch the template pop-up. Select Fields, Templates, or Variables, and then select the applicable item from the list that displays. Select the Ignore Alias check box to use the original NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Note: This functionality is available only if the NextGen® Enterprise EHR have been locked down. Select Script It. The Script Clipboard window opens with the script of the label. Change a Trigger

You can edit the field, event, action, or condition for an existing trigger. The edit function also provides a quick way for you to add a trigger based on an existing, simple trigger. This capability cannot be used for certain triggers that are tied to cross-reference tables (for example, the Assign Field Value trigger tied to the trig_mf_xref table). To open the Triggers window, do one of the following: Right-click anywhere on the template, and then select Triggers from the shortcut menu. On the Main toolbar, select Triggers. From the View menu, select Triggers. Select a specific field within the template. Select Triggers, select View > Triggers, or right-click the selected field, and then select Triggers from the shortcut menu. Note: The Copy and Paste buttons appear on the Triggers window only when you select a specific field on the template. In the Triggers window, select the trigger you want to change. Information entered for the selected trigger appear in the Trigger, Condition,

Set up Hide Item Trigger

You can hide one or more selected fields on the template at run time using hide item trigger. Follow the steps in General Trigger Setup. Select the Hide Item action. The Hide Template Field window opens. From Available Template Fields, select each field you want to hide, and then select Add. The selected fields appear in the Fields to Hide pane. You can select the multiple fields by selecting the Ctrl button. You can remove the selected fields by selecting the fields from the Fields to Hide pane and selecting the Remove button. From Filter, select the required filters. The Available Template Fields pane now displays the selected filter. Note: If you have selected multiple fields to set up this trigger, the fields are automatically selected. The field that triggers the action is not included. You can remove any of the selected fields and add others. Select Script It. The Script Clipboard window opens with the script of the label. To copy the script to clipboard, you can select Copy to C
