Fields Toolbar

The Fields toolbar enables you to add new fields to a template. Attributes

Attributes allow you to define any number of attributes for a template field. The Template Editor provides the ability to set the values for each and every attribute for each template field. You can set up the template field attributes from the Tools menu. There are three types of attributes you can set up such as Boolean, List, and Whole Number. The added attribute values are stored in a template fields such as Data Entry, Check Box, and Radio Button. Attribute values set for one field reflects in other fields if it has same name. For example, attribute values set for one radio button field reflects for other radio button fields with the same name. You must set rights permissions under Rights > Operations > Template Editor – Allow Data Change > Template Editor – Attribute Editing in System Administrator. Quick Action Toolbar

The Quick Action toolbar enables you to quickly set up selected field actions (triggers). The toolbar displays buttons for the available triggers in the following order: Patient Procedure Patient Allergy Patient Diagnosis Patient Problems Patient Lab Order Patient Medication Alert Assign Field Value Upload Extended Data Launch Template Show Items Hide Items Change Field Style Change Field Color Enable Controls Disable Controls Note: The Quick Action toolbar is disabled on NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine that are locked down. Copy a Field without Triggers

You can copy only active text, check box, data entry (edit), or radio button fields. The fields can be native to the template or shared from another template. You can copy existing local fields the same way you do other fields. To create a local field from a copied field, see Copy a Field as a Local Field. Do one of the following: To display copy options, right-click the field, and then select Copy Field. In the template, right-click where you want to place the copied field, and select Paste Field. Select the field, and then select CTRL+C. In the template, select where you want to place the copied field, and select CTRL+V. The window for inserting the selected field type appears. For example, if you select a data entry field, the Insert Data Entry window opens. Insert Data Entry window Note: You cannot change the Table name.
