Stop Active Recall Setup for Expired Patients
When stopping active recalls for expired patients, you have the option of tracking the reason the recall was stopped based on your practice preference settings. To track the reason the recall was manually stopped, do the following: Add Recall Stop Reasons in File Maintenance Enable Tracking of Recall Plan Stop Reasons in Practice Preferences Add Reasons for Stopping Recalls in File Maintenance You can add reasons to stop recalls for patients who have died. Track Reasons for Stopping Recall Plans in Practice Preferences You can turn on tracking of reasons for stopping recall plans in Practice Preferences, ensuring that a reason is recorded whenever a recall plan is stopped. Enable Tracking of Recall Plan Stop Reasons in Practice Preferences
Select Admin > Practice > Preferences. The Practice Preferences window opens. Select Chart and then select the check box Prompt for a reason when a Recall Plan is stopped. Track Reasons for Canceling Appointments in Practice Preferences
Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Do one of the following: From the main toolbar, select Chart. Select Tasks > Lookup > Charts. In the Patient Lookup window, enter search criteria and select Find. Select Admin > Preferences > Practice. In the Practice Preferences window, select Appt Scheduling, and then select the Track for cancellation reason checkbox.The reason for canceling a future appointment is required and is tracked in the system. Stop Recall Plans from Reports
Recall Plans for patients can be stopped in batch mode from the Patient Recall Report in NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Reports menu, select General, and then Patient Recall. The NextGen Report Filter window opens. Filter the report to include the desired patient population and then select OK. The Report Preview window opens. On the report toolbar, select the Stop Recall Plan button. The Stop Recall Plans window appears as follows when the Prompt for a reason when a Recall Plan is stopped check box is not enabled in Practice Preferences > Chart. The Stop Recall Plans window appears as follows when the Prompt for a reason when a Recall Plan is stopped check box is enabled in Practice Preferences > Chart: In the Select Plan To Stop field, select one or more recall plans to be stopped. Track Reasons for Appointment Cancellations or Stopping Recalls for an Expired Patient
Use this procedure to do the following: Expire a patient Cancel future appointments and stop active recalls Enter a Reason for Cancelling Future Appointments or Stopping Recalls Access the Modify Person/Patient Information Window for the patient that you want to expire. On the Modify Person/Patient Information window, select the Expired check box. The Expired Date field becomes active. In the Expired Date field, enter the date of death for the person/patient. A application message appears, asking if you want to cancel future appointments and stop active recalls. Do one of the following: Select Yes. If Appointment Cancellation Tracking or Recall Plan Stop Reason tracking is enabled in Practice Preferences, you will need to select a reason for the appointment cancellation or the recall plan stop reason then select OK. The Reason for Stopping Recall application message appears if your practice is tracking reasons for stopping recalls. The Reason for Appointment Cancellation application me
