Add Recall Stop Reasons in File Maintenance
In File Maintenance, open Master Lists. On the Master List List window, select Recall Plan Stop Reasons. To add a recall stop reason, select Open Menu and select New. The Add Recall Stop Reason Information window opens. In the Description field, enter the reason for stopping the recall, for example, Expired Patient. Select OK. When stopping active recalls for expired patients, you have the option of tracking the reason the recall was stopped based on your practice preference settings. To track the reason the recall was manually stopped, do the following: Add Recall Stop Reasons in File Maintenance Enable Tracking of Recall Plan Stop Reasons in Practice Preferences Add Recall Stop Reasons in File Maintenance You can add reasons to stop recalls for expired patients. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Do one of the following: From the main toolbar, select Chart. Select Tasks > Lookup > Charts. In the Patient Lookup window, enter search criteria and select Find. Select Admin > Preferences > Practice. In the Practice Preferences window, select Chart, and then select the Prompt for a reason when a Recall Plan is stopped checkbox.The reasons for stopping active recalls are tracked in the system. Enable Tracking of Appointment Cancellation Reasons in Practice Preferences
Select Admin > Practice > Preferences. The Practice Preferences window opens. Select Appt Scheduling and then select the check box Track for cancellation reason. The reason for canceling a future appointment is tracked in the system. You must enter a reason for why the appointment is canceled. Select OK. Patient Chart > Encounters Tab
Access the Patient Chart. Select the Encounters tab. In the Encounters list on the left, select any encounter. Right-click and select Recall. The Patient Recall window opens. Select the recall to be stopped. Do one of the following: Select the Open Menu button and select Stop from the menu. Right-click and select Stop from the menu. Select the Stop button. The following prompt displays: Do you want to stop the participation in this plan? To stop the patient’s recall plan, select Yes. Select a Reason for Stopping Recall and then select OK. Note: The Reason for Stopping Recall window displays only if the Prompt for a reason when a Recall Plan is stopped option is enabled in Practice Preferences > Chart.
