Enable Tracking of Appointment Cancellation Reasons in Practice Preferences
Select Admin > Practice > Preferences. The Practice Preferences window opens. Select Appt Scheduling and then select the check box Track for cancellation reason. The reason for canceling a future appointment is tracked in the system. You must enter a reason for why the appointment is canceled. Select OK. Track Reasons for Stopping Recall Plans in Practice Preferences
Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Do one of the following: From the main toolbar, select Chart. Select Tasks > Lookup > Charts. In the Patient Lookup window, enter search criteria and select Find. Select Admin > Preferences > Practice. In the Practice Preferences window, select Chart, and then select the Prompt for a reason when a Recall Plan is stopped checkbox.The reasons for stopping active recalls are tracked in the system. Use this procedure to do the following: Expire a patient Cancel future appointments and stop active recalls Enter a Reason for Cancelling Future Appointments or Stopping Recalls Access the Modify Person/Patient Information Window for the patient that you want to expire. On the Modify Person/Patient Information window, select the Expired check box. The Expired Date field becomes active. In the Expired Date field, enter the date of death for the person/patient. A application message appears, asking if you want to cancel future appointments and stop active recalls. Do one of the following: Select Yes.
