Task Creator Actions

You can create NextGen® Enterprise EHR or NextGen® Enterprise PM tasks. After you send a task, you can view the responses and reassign rejected or incomplete tasks. You can update tasks or remove completed tasks you have created. Create a NextGen Enterprise EHR Task Procedure to create NextGen® Enterprise EHR task in workgroup. ePA from the Workflow Module Inbox

When you set up Clinical Tasking for Electronic Prior Authorization (ePA), users receive tasks in their inbox that notify them of certain ePA status changes that they need to take action on. Tasks can be routed to a provider or to a workgroup depending on the setup. Having ePA tasks listed on the Clinical Tasking tab in Inbox helps prescribers and clinical staff monitor responses on prior authorization requests sent from NextGen® Enterprise EHR to the pharmacy benefits managers (PBMs). The responses can include status updates when a prior authorization request needs clinical questions answered or other prescriber input, as well as approvals and denials from the PBM. Having notifications sent to the inbox improves the efficiency of the ePA process by enabling you to manage some ePA actions without opening the Medications module each time you want to check an ePA status or take action. Task Recipient Actions

You can perform following actions: Accept, reject, reply to, reassign, complete, remove, or restore a task. Respond to a PAQ action task. Attach a NextGen Document Management image to a task. Open a patient's chart or the Orders module from the task list. Accept, reject, approve, or deny Electronic Prescribing (eRx) refill requests and resolve unmatched requests. Accept and manage action required or approved Electronic Prior Authorization (ePA) tasks. Receive notifications for completed orders and Carequality/Surescripts patient information requests. Accept a Task

You can just accept an assigned task, or in one step accept the task and complete it or also open the associated patient chart and module. If you accept a task that was sent to multiple recipients, only you and the person who originally assigned the task can view it in the Clinical Tasking tab. After you accept a task, you can update the task categories. You must complete a task when you finish it. In the task list, select a task assigned to you. The icon indicates a pending task. The task details open. Note: You cannot add or remove recipients from the To field in the task details. You can reassign the task recipients and set up workgroups. To just accept the task, do one of the following: Select Accept . Double-click the task. In Clinical tasking, if the Accept Task enabled, on Double click, the task is automatically accepted, and the patient chart is opened. Clinical Tasking

A patient's Inclusion or Exclusion List may restrict your access to clinical tasks. If you are a workflow delegate for another user or provider, you may not be able to access the same patient tasks as that person. If you do not have access to a patient, the Restricted message appears under the Patient Name, Subject, and Description columns. Respond to PAQ Action Tasks

A PAQ Action task is listed in the Clinical Tasking tab only if it is signed off in the Provider Approval Queue tab using the Task 1 or Task 2 action item. For the selected PAQ Action task, you can: Perform the PAQ actions. View the activity log in the Communication Summary window. Add a comment. Open the Workflow Module.
