Notifications for Carequality/Surescripts Patient Information Requests

The Clinical Tasking tab displays notifications for patient information queries completed through the Carequality/Surescripts National Record Locator Service (NRLS), using the Data Share module. Double-clicking the notification in the Inbox opens the Data Share module and displays the referenced query.

For a scheduled request based on future appointments in NextGen® Enterprise PM, the provider associated with the appointments is notified. If the appointment is with a resource and no provider ID is available in the Appointments table, only users set up in File Maintenance for the Carequality external system are notified. If no associated provider and user are set up in File Maintenance, no request notification is made.

For manual requests, the active provider in the Top toolbar is notified. Notifications are also sent to any users set up in File Maintenance for Orders Results Notifications from the Carequality external system.
