Before you use the CCHIT Reports, you must setup the
Alternate Report Path
Universal Preference.
Access System Administrator.
From the Main Menu, select
View
>
Universal Preferences

The
Preferences
window opens.
Select the
Reports
folder.
Open the
Alternate Report Path
Preference.
The
Alternate Report Path
window opens.
Select

Navigate to the
EMR\Reports\CCHIT

Import the CCHIT Template
Prior to using the CCHIT Reports, you must import the provided template. Note: You are able to create your own template for CCHIT Reports. Access Template Import/Export from Application Launcher. Select the Enterprise and Practice to which you want to sign on. Enter your user name and password. Select Logon. The NextGen Template Import/Export window opens. Note: Make sure that all necessary Import options are properly set up. Select the Load Files button. The Select Files to Import window opens. Navigate to the applicable location and select the Secured_Reports.TXML file. Select Open. The utility imports the selected Templates. When the Import process is done, the "Templates Successfully Imported" message appears. Note: You should set up the alternate report path universal preference and the required audit tables. Set Up Audit Tables
Before you use the CCHIT Reports, you must enable the following tables in the NG Audit Utility: Active_stations Person Patient Gperms User_mstr Sys_info Patient_documents Navigate to the NextGen root folder on the server that contains the main installation of the NextGen applications. Open the appropriate database folder (for example, the NGProd folder). Open the Components folder. In the Components folder, locate and copy the NGaudit.exe file. Open the local C:\nextgen folder, and then paste the NGaudit.exe file in it. Double-click the NGAudit.exe that you just pasted in the C:\nextgen folder. The Security Logon window displays the current database, application version, disclaimer, and logon fields. Read the disclaimer and, if you agree, select the appropriate Enterprise and Practice. Note: Until you create additional enterprises and practices, you can only select Default Enterprise and Default Practice. Enter your User ID and Password. Select Logon or ENTER. You must have the latest copy of the CCHIT reports before you begin the set up procedure. Any potential updates to the reports issued between NextGen releases are distributed in download package from the Customer Resource Center (CRC) on the NextGen® Heathcare website. If you have download these updates, then start following the set up process from Step 2. Verify that the Distributed Reports folder and all its content exists on the server in the appropriate "target" environment. Access System Administrator. From the Main Menu bar, select View > Universal Preferences. Select the Reports folder to view the existing report paths. Check the location specified in the Alternate Report Path Universal Preference. Copy the CCHIT reports to the location specified in the Alternate Report Path Universal Preference. Reports Universal Preferences
The following table describes the Reports Universal Preferences. You can also set these preferences at the user level. Preference Description Alternate Report Path In compliance with the Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT) requirements, this preference sets the path in which Crystal Reports stored in the alternate directory are not accessible via File > Crystal Reports Main Menu option. Custom Report Path Sets up the path for storing custom reports. NextGen® Optical Management Report Path Sets up the path for storing NextGen® Optical Management reports.
