Set Up Audit Tables

Before you use the CCHIT Reports, you must enable the following tables in the NG Audit Utility:

  • Active_stations
  • Person
  • Patient
  • Gperms
  • User_mstr
  • Sys_info
  • Patient_documents
  1. Navigate to the NextGen root folder on the server that contains the main installation of the NextGen applications.
  2. Open the appropriate database folder (for example, the NGProd folder).
  3. Open the Components folder.
  4. In the Components folder, locate and copy the NGaudit.exe file.
  5. Open the local C:\nextgen folder, and then paste the NGaudit.exe file in it.
  6. Double-click the NGAudit.exe that you just pasted in the C:\nextgen folder.
    The Security Logon window displays the current database, application version, disclaimer, and logon fields.
  7. Read the disclaimer and, if you agree, select the appropriate Enterprise and Practice.
  8. Enter your User ID and Password.
  9. Select Logon or ENTER.
    The NextGen Audit Administrator window opens.

    If you are using the Audit utility for the first time, a message displays to ask if you want to create the Ngn_Audit table.

  10. Select Yes to create the table in your database and to proceed with your audit.
  11. Select the following tables to audit:
    • Active_stations
    • Person
    • Patient
    • Gperms
    • User_mstr
    • Sys_info
    • Patient_documents
  12. Selects Enable.
    The Audit Utility notifies you when the table audit is complete.
