On Patient Portal Preferences window, do one of the following:
To refresh the unread messages when the Patient Portal tab is open, select On Window/Tab Open. This option refreshes the messages when the Patient Portal tab is the current tab when you open the Workflow Module window or the tab you select after the window is open.
Note: This option is not intended to refresh more than one tab simultaneously. To refresh more than one tab simultaneously, use the timer preference.
To refresh the unread messages after the specified time, select Every X Minute(s), and then select the arrow to enter a refresh interval in minutes (use integers only). This option refresh the unread messages whenever the Workflow Module window opens.
Note: The timer runs whether the Patient Portal tab is open or not.
