Accept eRx Refill Request from the Workflow Window

You can accept and assume responsibility for an eRx refill request task before taking another action. When NextGen® Enterprise EHR sends an eRx refill request to multiple users, a single user can accept the task and prevent other users from working on the same task. Note: For more information on Task Recipient Actions, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Workflow Module Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR and open the Workflow module. Select the Clinical Tasking tab and select a refill request from the task list. Note: In the task list, indicates a pending task. Clinical Tasking Select Accept. A check mark appears on the accepted task. Note: After you accept the refill request, Accept and Reject become unavailable. Unmatching eRx Refill Requests

If information from the issuing pharmacy does not match the data stored in the NextGen® Enterprise EHR database, a separate task is added to your task list on the Workflow window, in the Clinical Tasking tab. This task includes the current unmatched refill request. Workflow You can manually match patient demographics, medication, and prescription information, using the Refill Request Patient Matching window. You can also remove an unmatched eRx refill request task. Approve an eRx Refill Request from the Workflow Module

You can approve an eRx refill request task from the Workflow module and acknowledge drug interactions. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. Open the Workflow module. Select the Clinical Tasking tab and select a refill request from the task list. The refill request details and patient information appears. Select Approve. The fill options appear. Fill options Select the number of refills to approve. If NextGen® Enterprise EHR detects any drug interactions, the Drug Interaction window opens, where you can review the details of the drug interactions. NextGen® Enterprise EHR displays an alert for inactive ingredients with the associated allergic reactions and the percentage of available formulation that contains the inactive ingredients. Select a drug interaction and select Acknowledge. You can enter a reason for the acknowledgement if necessary. An acknowledgement check mark appears for the drug interaction. Deny eRx Refill Request from the Workflow Module

You can deny an eRx refill request task from the Workflow module. When you deny an eRx refill request, NextGen® Enterprise EHR sends a message to the pharmacy informing about the denial. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR and open the Workflow module. Select the Clinical Tasking tab and select a refill request from the task list. The refill request details and patient information appears. Refill Request Select Deny. The reasons for denial appear. Note: If you configure custom denial reasons, NextGen® Enterprise EHR includes eRx custom denial reasons in the denial reasons list. A patient Inclusion or Exclusion List may restrict your access to eRX refill requests. If you are a workflow delegate for another user or provider, you may not be able to access the same refill requests as that person. If you do not have access to a patient, the message "Restricted" appears under the Patient Name, Subject, and Description columns.
