Reject eRx Refill Request from the Workflow Window

You can reject responsibility for an eRx refill request task. When NextGen® Enterprise EHR sends an eRx refill request to multiple users, a single user can reject the task and prevent other users from working on the same task. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR and open the Workflow module. Select the Clinical Tasking tab and select a refill request from the task list. Note: In the task list, indicates a pending task. Clinical Tasking Select Reject. The rejected task no longer appears in the task list. Note: After you reject a task, Accept and Reject become unavailable. Approve an eRx Refill Request for a Controlled Substance from the Workflow Module

You can approve eRx refill requests for controlled substances from the Workflow module and acknowledge drug interactions. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. Open the Workflow module. Select the Clinical Tasking tab and select a refill request for a controlled substance from the task list.The refill request details and patient information appears. Refill request information and the patient information Select Approve. Note: NextGen® Enterprise EHR automatically generates the patient’s Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) report. You can review the report before prescribing a controlled substance. For a Level 2 substance, the refill information appears as 1 fill with no refills. For other controlled substances, the regular set of refills are available. You can approve an eRx refill request task from the Workflow module and acknowledge drug interactions. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. Open the Workflow module. Select the Clinical Tasking tab and select a refill request from the task list. The refill request details and patient information appears. Select Approve. The fill options appear. Fill options Select the number of refills to approve. If NextGen® Enterprise EHR detects any drug interactions, the Drug Interaction window opens, where you can review the details of the drug interactions. NextGen® Enterprise EHR displays an alert for inactive ingredients with the associated allergic reactions and the percentage of available formulation that contains the inactive ingredients. Select a drug interaction and select Acknowledge. You can enter a reason for the acknowledgement if necessary. An acknowledgement check mark appears for the drug interaction. A patient Inclusion or Exclusion List may restrict your access to eRX refill requests. If you are a workflow delegate for another user or provider, you may not be able to access the same refill requests as that person. If you do not have access to a patient, the message "Restricted" appears under the Patient Name, Subject, and Description columns.
