View Message Statistics

You can view counts of the total number of pending messages for each category in the NextGen® Clinical Message Manager. From the Message Manager View tab, select Clinical Message Manager in the left pane, if it is not already selected. The right pane displays a count of the pending messages in each category, grouped into rows by dates, with totals at the bottom. To control whether the display includes orphaned messages, select or clear the Include Orphaned Rows check box. Note: This check box is available for use only if the View Orphaned Records access right is enabled for your account. Otherwise, the Include Orphaned Rows check box is cleared and cannot be selected. You can configure a default value for the Include Orphaned Rows check box in the Message Manager View preferences. To sort the list, select any column header (such as Date, Lab Results, and so on). Access NextGen® Clinical Message Manager Application

After viewing message statistics, message details, or transaction history, you can run the NextGen® Clinical Message Manager to view further message details or to process and correct a message so it can be imported. On the Message Manager View tab, select the Clinical Message Manager . If the NextGen® Clinical Message Manager is already running on your current Microsoft® Windows® session, a warning message appears. Select OK and use the Windows Taskbar to switch to the NextGen® Clinical Message Manager application. Otherwise, the NextGen® Clinical Message Manager opens. View Transaction History for Messages

The transaction history shows how many messages were processed by particular NextGen® Clinical Message Manager users on dates in the recent past. From the Message Manager View tab, select Clinical Message Manager in the left pane, if it is not already selected. If the Display Transaction History Information preference is enabled, a list of the count of transactions appears at the bottom of the right pane. The list is organized by date, user name, and message category ( Lab Results, Documents, and so on). To specify the length of the date range, select the Change Display Filter button, and then use the slider to choose how many days to include. The maximum is 30 days. Select OK. To sort the list, select any column header (such as Date, Lab Results, and so on). To reverse the sort order, select the column header again. Parent topic: Message Manager View Overview

For the Message Manager View tab to appear in the Workflow module, ensure that: The NextGen® Clinical Message Manager application is installed. The Message Manager View tab in the Workflow module gives you quick information about messages that are currently waiting in NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine, including: Statistics about pending messages Transaction history Contents of individual messages The Message Manager View tab appears in the Workflow module only if you have met the necessary prerequisites. You can configure preferences to specify whether orphaned items and transaction history are displayed, as well as the maximum number of detail rows to display. To resolve any of the pending messages, you can also use the Message Manager View tab to open the NextGen® Clinical Message Manager application . You can correct messages and match them to a patient's chart.
