ICD-SNOMED Mapping

The ICD SNOMED Map template trigger enables you to view and assign the: ICD codes mapped to a selected SNOMED-CT problem to today's assessment or encounter. If only one ICD code is associated with the selected SNOMED-CT problem, the ICD description, ICD diagnosis code ID,and the ICD code are automatically assigned to the selected variable or template field. If more than one ICD code is associated with the selected SNOMED-CT problem, you must select an ICD code from the Select Mapped ICD Code window to assign the ICD description, ICD diagnosis code ID,and the ICD code to a variable or a template field. SNOMED concept IDs mapped to a selected ICD code to the patient's clinical problem list. If only one SNOMED-CT problem is associated with the selected ICD code, the SNOMED-CT concept ID, description, and fully specified name are automatically assigned to the selected variable or template field. Add a New SNOMED Code Mapping

You can add a SNOMED mapping in the SNOMED Configuration practice template. Access the SNOMED Configuration practice template. Right-click the SNOMED grid and select Add New. The SNOMED Mapping - [New Record] template opens. Enter a field name, and a symptom in the appropriate fields. Enter a concept in the Concept ID 1, Concept ID 2, and Concept ID 3 fields. Enter a SNOMED code in the SNOMED Code 1 and SNOMED Code 2 fields. Click Saveand click Close. The information entered appears in the SNOMED grid. Add a Problem to the Billing ICD List

From the problem list, you can add a problem to the billing ICD list. Open the Problems Module. Select a problem from the problem list. Do one of the following: Right-click the problem, and then select Add to Billing ICD List. On the date entry grid tracking toolbar, select Add to Billing ICD List. The Billing ICD Search window opens. The application maps the problem SNOMED Concept ID code to the billing ICD code and displays the results in the Billing ICD List tab. Select Mapped ICD Code Note: The Billing ICD Search window displays synonym descriptions associated with an ICD code in the search results. If the selected problem has multiple billing ICD-10 codes, the application displays the list of mapped codes. Select which billing ICD-10 code to add to the billing ICD list for the current encounter. If the selected problem has only one billing ICD-10 code, that code is automatically added to the billing ICD list for the current encounter. Select the Preferences button to display a lis
