Set up ICD SNOMED Map Trigger

The ICD SNOMED action enables users to view and assign the following:
  • ICD code(s) mapped to a selected SNOMED-CT problem to today's assessment or encounter
    • If only one ICD code is associated with the selected SNOMED problem, the ICD description, ICD diagnosis code ID, and the ICD code are automatically assigned to the selected variable or template field.
    • If more than one ICD code is associated with the selected SNOMED problem, the user must select an ICD code from a list in a window to assign the ICD description, ICD diagnosis code ID, and the ICD code to a variable or a template field.
  • SNOMED concept ID(s) mapped to a selected ICD code to the patient's clinical problem list
    • If only one SNOMED problem is associated with the selected ICD code, the SNOMED concept ID, SNOMED description, and the SNOMED fully specified name are automatically assigned to the selected variable or template field.
    • If more than one SNOMED problem is associated with the selected ICD code, the user must select a SNOMED problem from a list in a window to assign the SNOMED concept ID, SNOMED description, and the SNOMED fully specified name to a variable or a template field.
  1. Follow the applicable steps in General Trigger Setup.
  2. Select the ICD SNOMED Map action.
    The ICD/SNOMED Mapping window opens.
  3. From the Type list, select ICD to SNOMED or SNOMED to ICD.

  4. From the ID list, select the template field or variable that populates the ICD code or SNOMED-CT concept ID to be mapped at run time.
  5. From the Description list, select the template field or variable that populates the description of the ICD code or SNOMED-CT concept ID to be mapped at run time.
  6. For ICD-to-SNOMED mapping, from the Output list for each field, select the template field or variable that populates the Concept ID, Description, and Fully Specified Name at run time.
  7. For SNOMED-to-ICD mapping, from the Output list for each field, select the template field or variable that populates the Description, Diagnosis Code ID, and ICD Code at run time.
  8. Select Script It.
    The Script Clipboard window opens with the script of the label.

    To copy the script to clipboard, you can select Copy to Clipboard.

  9. To save the information and close the window, select OK.
  10. If necessary, set up a specific condition for the Patient Diagnosis action to be triggered.
  11. Select OK and save your template.
