Enabling the PDR BRIEF
When a prescriber prescribes a medication in the Medications module and if you enable the PDR ® (Physician's Desk Reference) BRIEF, it allows drug safety information from the PDR web service to display in the PDR BRIEF window, if applicable. You can enable and disable PDR BRIEF at both the practice and user levels. The settings must be enabled at both levels to allow the PDR BRIEF to display. Note: You can override the setting in the NextGen® Enterprise EHR user preferences. You must enable in NextGen® Communication Services PDR Product Listing Import in the Patient Saving and Education Category to view the PDR BRIEF. Open the Practice Preferences
Do one of the following: In File Maintenance, select Master Files > System > Practices. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select the Admin > Preferences > Practice. Double-click a practice, and then select Preferences. The Practice Preferences window opens. In the Preference List, select the desired practice preference name. Activate Practice Access for Provider Master File
