Open File Maintenance. From Master Files > System, select Practices. From the Practices List window, double-click a practice.The Modify Practice Information window opens. Modify Practice Information Select Preferences.The Practice Preferences window opens. In the Preference List, select Medication. Enabling the PDR BRIEF
When a prescriber prescribes a medication in the Medications module and if you enable the PDR ® (Physician's Desk Reference) BRIEF, it allows drug safety information from the PDR web service to display in the PDR BRIEF window, if applicable. You can enable and disable PDR BRIEF at both the practice and user levels. The settings must be enabled at both levels to allow the PDR BRIEF to display. Note: You can override the setting in the NextGen® Enterprise EHR user preferences. You must enable in NextGen® Communication Services PDR Product Listing Import in the Patient Saving and Education Category to view the PDR BRIEF.
