Update and Activate the DEA Number
The DEA Number associated with the provider is not found in the current DEA registry. In File Maintenance, open the provider in the Providers master file. The Modify Provider Information window opens. Select the Practice tab. Update the DEA Number. Note: DEA Numbers are two letters followed by seven numbers. Modify Provider Information Select the ePrescribing tab. In the Networks section, select open menu . Select Retail > Enroll. The EPrescribing Message Submission window opens. Select OK. The DEA Number associated with the provider is found in the DEA registry, but it is listed as an institutional, rather than individual DEA Number. Each enrolled provider must have an individual DEA Number. In File Maintenance, open the provider in the Providers master file. The Modify Provider Information window opens. Select the Practice tab. Update the DEA Number to an individual DEA Number for the selected provider. Modify Provider Information Select the ePrescribing tab. In the Networks section, select open menu .
