Update Provider Name Information

The NPI number associated with the selected provider is found in the NPI registry, but the demographic information in the registry does not match the information present in the Surescripts provider record. Specifically, one or more of the following conditions apply: Last name does not match the registry's Last Name or Other Last Name values First name does not match the registry's First Name or Other First Name values Middle name does not match the registry's Middle Name or Other Middle Name values Note: Middle name is ignored if not present in both the directory and NPI registry. The full middle name is compared if present in both; if not, comparison is limited to the first initial of the middle name. Gender does not match the registry's Gender value In File Maintenance, open the provider in the Providers master file. The Modify Provider Information window opens. Select the Demographics tab. Resolve Issues

You must resolve all issues to use ePrescribing with NextGen® Enterprise EHR, 8 and to migrate to the Surescripts 2017071 compatible standard. All potential enrollment issues must be resolved before using ePrescribing. Log on to File Maintenance. From Master Files, select System > EHR. Select Providers. The Providers List window opens. Double-click the provider. The Modify Provider Information window opens. Select the appropriate tab and add or modify the information as necessary to resolve all potential issues associated with Surescripts migration to the latest standard. Select the ePrescribing tab. Ensure that the provider has all applicable Retail Service Levels selected. In the Networks section, select open menu . Select Retail > Enroll. Modify Provider Information The ERx Message Submission confirmation window opens. Select OK. The values are added for the Retail settings. Status. Add or Update NPI Numbers

You can modify or update the NPI number associated with the selected provider. In File Maintenance, open the provider in the Providers master file. The Modify Provider Information window opens. Select the System tab. Verify the NPI number displayed in the National Provider ID field and make modifications if required. Modify Provider Information Select the ePrescribing tab.
