You can view and change offline document processing settings from the Options window. Change the default setting only if you are advised to do so by NextGen Healthcare Client Support.
- On the Pending pane taskbar in the EMR Document Queue window, select Opt.
The
Options window opens.
- Set up the options you want.
- Select OK to save the settings.
- In the Refresh and timing section, enter the number of seconds, or select the up or down arrow to enter the number of seconds for:
- Pending Refresh. This option describes the frequency with which pending documents are updated in the Pending window (default is 10 seconds). The document queue is stored in the database.
- Generate Lag. This option describes the time (delay) between the generation of successive documents (default is 2 seconds). This setting is designed to reduce the load of the database server and the machine that the application is running on).
Note: NextGen Healthcare strongly recommends that you do not change the original default time for either of these options. If you are processing a high volume of offline documents, it may be necessary to change the Generate Lag time. Speak with your Implementation Specialist, or contact NextGen Healthcare Client Support for assistance.
- In Errors & Tracing section, perform the following:
- Error Logging. Select the applicable option from the list: Low, Medium, High (default), or Very High. Higher settings display more detailed information.
- Trace Level. You can trace all utility processing actions at runtime in addition to logging errors. Select the applicable option from the list: Off (default) Low, Medium, or High.
CAUTION:
Using tracing may slow down the application. Enable tracing only if the application is not functioning correctly. Contact NextGen Healthcare Client Support for help.
- In Miscellaneous section, select the check box to turn on or turn off the following options:
- To reset all options to the default settings, select Defaults.
