When the pharmacy's Cancel Rx response is received,
NextGen® Enterprise EHR adds a Cancel Prescription note to the patient chart in the
Encounters tab. The note includes the following details about approval or denial:
- Cancel Rx Request Date
- Pharmacy details
- Prescriber name
- Prescription details for quantity, SIG, and date written, pharmacy response of approved or denied, and pharmacy notes with number of refills dispensed.
When the pharmacy sends a denial response, a denial reason, such as
No matching prescription found, is included. In addition,
NextGen® Enterprise EHR creates a task in the provider’s inbox for the denied responses.
