Call Information

The Call Information element enables you to select the Contact Type of the call, the Urgency of the issue, and who the user Spoke With on the call. Contact Type and Spoke With are required fields for all communication categories. Each column enables you to enter a custom option after the provided options. Contact Information

The Contact Information element enables you to select the Preferred Contact and Alternate Contact information for the selected patient or contact. If the individual who contacted the practice was not the patient, you may need to adjust the contact information. Otherwise, the contact information is automatically-populated with the patient's demographic information. Each contact option has an Other field to enter information manually. Call Status

The Call Status element enables you to mark the status of the call. The two options are Open and Complete. Open is selected as the default option. Open Status When a call is marked as Complete, a document for the call is generated automatically. Filter Calls

When calls have been logged, you can filter calls by Type, Status and Encounter. You can also organize calls using columns that display in the grid. Access Communication Component Grid. Select the Call Type or Status of the call. These filters can be used separately or together to narrow down your results. Select View All calls logged for the patient or calls logged only during This Encounter. The Communication Component Grid displays calls that match the filter criteria. Select any of the column headers (For example Contact Date, Employee, and so on.) to order the results based on a specific detail. Parent topic: Call Types
