Attach a NextGen® Document Management Image to a Task

You can attach the NextGen® Document Management images to a task that are not associated with an encounter. In the Clinical Tasking tab, when you are creating a task, select DM Image from the Re: Document list. The Attach Document Management Image window opens. Select the Categories tab. Note: The Attach Document Management Image window restores the last selected tab. Select an image. Select OK. When you file a NextGen® Document Management document to a clinical encounter that is locked in NextGen® Enterprise EHR, you do not need to create an encounter. You can create an addendum to the locked encounter and attach the document to the addendum in NextGen® Document ManagementBy attaching an addendum, you can view the document along with the encounter it belongs to. Note: If the encounter you selected is locked, the application displays a message to indicate that the encounter is locked. Work with Tasks Associated with an Image

You can create a task and attach an image to it. You can also modify or delete a task. Open an image, and then do one of the following: Select the Tasks button. On the main menu, select Imaging > Single Chart View. The Tasks window opens. Tasks To add a task, select the New Task button, and then enter the task details, including Due Date, Subject, and Description. In the Attachment field, EHR Image is pre-selected and the image name appears next to it. New EHR Task To remove a task, select a task in the Tasks window, and then select the Delete button. Attach Document or Image to Cardiac Procedures

You can attach an encounter document, a scanned document, or an image to a cardiac procedure using the See attached document field on the procedure template. When you attach a document or an image, the Attachment column in the Cardiac Procedures grid on the Cardiac Procedure panel changes to Y. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Cardiology Procedures template by clicking the Procedures tab. On the Cardiology Procedures template, click the Cardiac Procedures panel. Select a category in the left pane and select a procedure from the list. The corresponding procedure template opens. Enter the procedure details. Select See scanned document. The Scanned Document/Image window opens. Select an item to attach to the procedure and click OK. To attach a different document, do the following. Click the CI button .
