Add and Validate Address Information

You can add the billing or secondary address for the person using the Add Person Information window. This information includes the person's mailing address. The billing address is the address used for sending correspondence between your practice and the person. If needed, you can enter a secondary address.

Before real-time address validation, both the practice and the user must be set up accordingly. When an address is entered and saved, it's automatically sent to the USPS API for validation. The API checks fields like address 1, address 2, city, state, and zip, then responds with one of several messages:

• Valid address
• Address cannot be found
• Address can be updated

Based on the validation outcome, different icons display, indicating whether the address matches, is corrected, or cannot be found in the USPS database.
