Resolve Missing or Incorrect Data

If a clinical item that you selected for import has missing or incorrect data, a search window appears and, if available, displays a list of potential matches. If the item does not appear on the list or the application cannot find any potential matches, you can perform a search. Search for Matches Perform a search: Select Clear. Enter a full or partial description. If the entry is fewer than five letters, select the Enter key. If the entry is five letters or more, the application performs the search automatically. The application displays a list of potential matches. For Medications and Meds Administered, you can select a Medication Search Type (all, brand name, or generic) to filter results. Do one of the following: To select an item and continue processing, select an item in the grid and then select OK. To select another item or perform another search, select Cancel. Resolve Medication Contraindications or Drug Interactions

If a medication item that you selected for import has contraindications or interactions, the Drug Interaction window appears. Drug Interaction Window Either confirm the contraindication/drug interaction message or choose to send an alert containing drug interaction information to another provider in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Note: The application does not perform a drug interaction check for allergies, problems, immunizations or diagnosis codes. You can manually check for interactions in the pertinent NextGen® Enterprise EHR module after all reconciliation tasks are completed. To support the sending of alerts to providers, an NextGen® Enterprise EHR Workflow IREM Import agent must have previously been created and configured. Acknowledge Medication Deletions

If you selected a medication or an administered medication for deletion, then when you select Confirm, the Deleting dispensed medication window appears and lists the medication. This message is informational only, as it is not possible to stop the deletion once you have clicked Confirm. Deleting Dispensed Medication Message Select OK. If you view the medication later in the NextGen® Enterprise EHR Medication module, the entry for that medication shows a Status value of "Deleted" and a Deletion Reason of "External Deletion." Delete a Medication

You can delete any medication that was prescribed to a patient. Depending on your system settings, you may be required to select a reason that explains why you are deleting a previously prescribed medication. When applicable, the system sends a CancelRx notification to the pharmacy to ensure the prescription is not unintentionally dispensed to the patient. In the medications list, highlight the medication that you want to delete. Select Delete. A message informs you that a CancelRx message may be sent to the pharmacy and a deletion reason may be required. Select Yes to confirm deleting the selected medication. If deletion reasons are required for previously prescribed medications, the Deletion Reason Selection window opens. Deletion Reason Selection Select a reason for the deletion, and then select OK. If the medication was previously sent to a pharmacy and the prescriber is enrolled in the Cancel Rx service level, the Cancel Medication window displays a message to inform you a CancelR

Resolve Denied eRx Refill Request

When you receive an eRx refill request and deny the request with the reason as Denial – New Prescription to follow, the Resolve Denied Refills link appears on the Send Prescription window. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient and open Medications module. Select a medication where the eRx refill request was denied with the Denial - New Prescription to follow reason. Select View Denied Refills. The Deny New To Follow window opens. Deny New To Follow Select Details to open and view the Refill Request Details window. Select Close. To remove the denied refill from the list, select Remove. The Remove medication from queue window opens stating the confirmation message. Do one of the following: To remove the medication from the list, select Yes. To return to the Deny New to Follow window without removing the medication, select No. Select Close.
