Select the Immunizations Chart or Recommendation Schedules

When you access the Immunizations module, you can select either the Chart or the Recommendation schedule. From the Orders Module, select the Immunizations tab. Either the Immunizations or Recommendation Schedule appears. To select another schedule, select either the Chart tab or the Recommendation tab. Note: The Recommendation schedule view is the system default. If you selected the Chart view on the Preferences window, the Chart view appears. Viewing Additional Immunization Details on a Schedule

You can view additional information about Immunizations by selecting an Immunization Status on the Chart view or Recommendation view. The detailed information displays at the bottom of the window. Viewing the Immunizations Order Life Cycle and Vaccine Statuses

To track the life cycle of an immunization order, you can view a patient’s immunization information on the Orders Summary tab, such as Performing Entity, Encounter Date, NextGen Status, Provider, and Immunizations description. The NextGen Status column enables you to track the Immunization Order life cycle. Ordered: The Immunization Order has been ordered and saved. Partial: Not all of the vaccines within a group of Immunization orders have been administered or have completed the Immunizations life cycle, that is, as least one order is still Pending. Complete: The Immunization order is completed. No order is pending and the Immunizations Orders can have any of the following statuses: Administered, Partially Administered, Refused, or Entered in Error. Note: If an Immunization order has been successfully administered, the status for the Immunization displays as Administered on the Vaccine Details tab and in the Description column on the Orders Summary tab. Viewing Pediatric and Adult Immunizations Display Options

You can display or hide pediatric vaccine recommendations for adult patients. The default is to ignore pediatric vaccines for adult patients. To change this setting, open Practice Preferences > Orders Module > Imm tab in File Maintenance. However, if you administer an immunization to an adult, which is recommended for pediatric patients, the Immunization date displays in the Chart View but not the Status. For example, the date that a Pediatric vaccine (Hep B) was administered to an adult displays in the Dose column but no status is displayed. The Immunizations module enables you to access Immunizations schedules to determine when an immunization is due for a patient. You can also track the immunizations life cycle, including the immunization status. You can view the following schedule types when you access the Immunizations module: Chart Recommendation Registry Select the Immunizations Chart or Recommendation Schedules Viewing Additional Immunization Details on a Schedule The system displays detailed information about Immunizations when you uselect an Immunization status on the Chart view or Recommendation view. Viewing Excluded Vaccine Details You can view details of excluded vaccines by selecting the status column of the vaccine. Hiding Pediatric Vaccines Recommendations for Adult Patients

You can hide pediatric vaccine recommendations from displaying for adult patients over 18 years of age. When you select this practice preference, the Immunizations module displays the following information. The Chart View displays: All vaccines on a patient's chart (pediatric or adult) All vaccines recommended for adults only (up until patient's age) Status of adult vaccines only The Recommendation View displays: All vaccines recommended for adults only Status of adult vaccines only The Create New Immunization Order window displays: All vaccines set up in the Vaccine favorites (in File Maintenance) Status of adult vaccines only. Note: For the Tdap vaccine only, the system does not consider the Ignore Pediatric Recommendation for Adults practice preference when calculating the Tdap Immunization status for adults or patients 11 years of age and older.
