Viewing and Exporting Patient Chart Items

You can view the properties of documents, images, or SAP Crystal Reports within an encounter as well as export these items from the patient chart. An option is available with the following options based on the selected item. For information related to documents signed off by multiple users, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download Multi-user Document Signoff for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Before you begin Ensure that Access Rights in Rights > OPERATIONS > Encounters > View Encounter Summary is set to Yes in System Administrator to view the clinical data on the Encounter Summary window in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Note: When Access Rights is set to No, the data on the right side of the Encounter Summary window is hidden. However, you can still view and use the documents, images, templates, and files that appear on the left side of the window. For more information on user access rights, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest System Administrator Guide forNextGen®Enterprise. You can view the type of clinical data associated with the encounters and the properties of documents, images, or SAP Crystal Reports within an encounter on the Encounter History tab. Generate and Print SAP Crystal Reports

After you set up a report, you can generate and print or fax a SAP Crystal Reports. When you generate a report, you can do any of the following: Print Preview Fax Save to Chart NextGen® Enterprise EHR can store patient chart items (Documents, Images, Notes, Report, and so on) in multiple locations. If enabled, this functionality allows you to store items from the patient chart in separate directories that are automatically separated by date. Note: If you enable Multiple Storage Locations support for Patient Chart Items, the setting automatically overrides the directory setting for the type of an item specified in the Universal Preferences. For information on how to setup this feature, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Using Multiple Storage Locations for Patient Chart Items in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Options Available for Patient Chart Items

The options available for patient chart items are as follows: Option Description Provider Signoff Details Displays the current signoff status, rendering provider, provider reassignment (if applicable), and comments for a patient document. Send to IHVDI This option is not compatible with NextGen® Enterprise EHR 5.6 and above. The same functionality is available using NextGen® Document Management. Clinical Reconciliation Opens the Clinical Reconciliation window for the C-CDA documents. Send to Patient Portal Opens the Patient Portal Document Export window to export a document, image, or SAP® Crystal Reports® to NextGen® PxP Portal for patients enrolled in NextGen® PxP Portal. Note: The Send to Patient Portal option is disabled if the NextGen® PxP Portal license has expired.
