Generate and Print SAP Crystal Reports

After you set up a report, you can generate and print or fax a SAP Crystal Reports. When you generate a report, you can do any of the following:

  • Print
  • Preview
  • Fax
  • Save to Chart
NextGen® Enterprise EHR can store patient chart items (Documents, Images, Notes, Report, and so on) in multiple locations. If enabled, this functionality allows you to store items from the patient chart in separate directories that are automatically separated by date.

  1. In the Report Dialog window, select the report type to generate. Select the expand icon to display all of the reports assigned to the particular type, then select the report to generate.

    The details of the report display on the bottom of the Report Dialog window.

  2. Do one of the following:
    • Select Preview to preview the report.
    • Select Print to print the selected report without a preview.
    • Select Fax to fax the selected report without a preview.
    • Select Save to Chart to save the selected report to the patient's chart.
  3. If a report requires report parameters, an Enter Parameters or Enter Values window may appear for the selected report. If the window opens, enter the specific parameters. The appearance of the window varies depending on the report type. An example of the Enter Values window is shown for the ePCS Auditable Events Report.

  4. Close the Crystal Report Viewer to complete the generation process and Print, Fax, or Save to Chart.
  5. To exit from SAP Crystal Reports, select Exit on the Report Dialog window.
